I got this for a recent trip for my 5 year old. It was great for relaxing in the hotel after being at the pool and beach all morning to have an inside break. It kept her entertained for a while. And we enjoyed doing it together as we decided on what look to do.She loved the purse shape. We had lots of fun dressing up the princesses with accessories and she loved the makeup aspect. The foil was also fun.My only gripe is the diamond painting. Not a great 'travel' thing. We ended up with little diamonds all over our luggage. You would need to bring your own ziploc bags. And I couldn't imagine trying it at a restaurant or in the car.If you are using it at home, the diamonds are fine. But I took those out when we got back. And now if we use this as a restaurant, I don't have to worry about them.

As she’s been experimenting with my makeup, now she has the tools to make her different princess characters pretty, whether it’s applying makeup or doing the glitter foil or diamond painting.The quality of the materials is decent, and the stickers and paper are durable, which is perfect for little hands, but be warned that it’s a bit fiddly to remove the stickers. She’s had the most fun with the diamond art and applying blush to “paint” her princess characters. What’s nice is it comes in a compact package that’s easy to take on the go (but take along some spare zip-lock bags to keep the gems), making it an excellent travel toy. I’m only docking a star because, for the price, they could have included more stickers and decorative elements since children tend to either overdo things or lose little items. Best for kids 5 and up who have a bit more fine motor skills.

This set gives a young child the option to use paints, foil, or diamonds to decorate the various scenes or outfits. It comes with good card stock to decorate and the stickers are in the back of the set.It's a great hands-on activity for kids. I much prefer these mediums than the electronic programs that can do something similar on a computer screen.
