Order of the Seers: (Book I in the Order of the Seers Trilogy)

Wow, this is just a hard one to explain for me. I just finished the book and I still feel like I'm on the train heading to the final outcome. Don't get me wrong this is not a cliff hanger, it has an ending. However, instinctively you know there is so much more to overcome and to change. The seers aren't a special breed as you might think just that they have tapped everyone's untapped potential. This story is filled with intrigue, fear, change, determination, and in some cases even death....but it is all so skillfully woven that you feel as if you are part of this story. So much so that you grieve the death of those that must die and wish you could do more to help those who must drive the changes to come. This is an amazing story set in the present day and all too real. This could be happening under our noses and none would know unless there was another Edward Snowden waiting to release the secrets. This is a new author to watch and I so want the next OOTS......Bravo, Bravo!

Ms. Murphy does a great job of telling this story, though at first the many different points of view were confusing. Once I really got what was going on, it was difficult to put down. The book is about people born with extraordinary abilities, everyone different and how they are controlled by the government with drugs and forced to work in group efforts to avoid International catastrophes. Scientists and individuals on the side of these Seers risk all to help them become and stay free. Then the war begins in earnest as each Seer's power, without drugs, is actually stronger. Their goal is to help mankind and stay free of enslavement, to keep new members from being captured and used in this way and develop their gifts. There is a scientific reason for their anomaly that will surprise you. I'm not a Spoiler, so won't give that away. A very interesting read and I will continue through the series. Highly recommended.

I am now a certified fan of this series and this author. I found the story to be beautifully written and beautifully developed in both plot and characters. The clever story line is captivating. The array of characters quite enchanting and despite the tender ages their experiences are believable as is their ability to handle what they face. This is purely and simply the work of the writer. She showers us with their growing maturity but does it with a realistic flair. The love scenes are tasteful and yet no less passionate. There is love here for her creations and it comes through in her use of language.I loved the book and am already reading the second in the series as I write.

Order of the Seers is an excellent debut from newcomer Cerece Rennie Murphy, who gives her readers a great concept and action from the novel's outset. A rock solid plot, good character development, and crescendoing pace keep the reader's attention on a young group of "seers" who are hunted for their ability to see the future. Although the reader is occasionally presented with situations that bear further exposition, the well-measured pace stays intact throughout and our disbelief remains suspended. Rennie Murphy's developing style relies on hard work rather than plot gimmicks to give us what we want during the story's climaxes, and she sets a great stage for part II. This reader, for one, hopes Ms. Rennie Murphy will be around for awhile. She will develop into a great author.

Interesting things going on. Can't wait to hear all about how they have developed. The way the characters have all formed a family shows they have something to fight for.

I wanted to read something different, something that was completely different from the things I write about and I came upon this book. The cover fascinated me so I took a chance. From the very first page, I was all in. I wanted to write the review before I finished page 10! I was so impressed with the way the author painted such a visual picture in my head I felt like I knew her characters personally. There are very few authors that move me this way. This book will go into my favorites pile which isn't that big. Great job and I cannot wait to start the next one in the series, probably tonight. Please consider me a fan from this point on! The characters were likeable and the action was continuous. What more can you ask for in a paranormal Adventure romance story.This was a great way to spend an evening!

The concepts here are plausible. I liked the idea of seers working together with shared visions. Didn't like the idea that "government" would use these to control folks. But why should that surprise me? They have always done it.I wasn't sure how to rate this - or if I wanted to read the sequel(s). But my wife insisted we purchase the next book(s). So I was convinced. Also I find that after several days have passed I realize I am thinking about the characters and want to know how they progressed.

With an interesting plot and plenty of action, "Order of the Seers" was a thrilling read. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I wasn't sure, but once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next book.

I enjoyed it, easy to read, not too many editing mistakes and I would give it 3 1/2 stars
