Wanted a temp gauge for my Scion and ran across this. Got so much more. Installation is just plugging it in. I ended up putting it in front of my factory speedometer because it's more readable.

This OBD meter works nice for seeing more info about current temps and rpm, though the gps feature feels useless. It takes almost a second to update values, so the dial for rpm can skip a wide amount at a time

I replaced an older model hud with this newer device in my 2011 Hyundai Accent to keep an eye on the overall performance or lack of while driving normally every day. It has a larger screen and is a bit more sophisticated and worth the 40 or so dollars spent. 15 min. install and program and go.

I was not impressed with this product. It looks much nicer on the product page than how it really does. It feels and looks cheap.

The media could not be loaded. This little device appealed to me, since I've been doing something similar for years - using a "retired" 'droid smartphone hooked up with a BlueTooth OBD "dongle" and a Torque Pro app. With that (convoluted) set-up I was able to see more info than just the dash would display. But it was a lot of hassle, and worse, I found out (the hard way) that the OBD "dongle" kept some of the computers in my car alive, running the battery down when the car was parked for a few days in the middle of a road trip. Not my favorite thing.This device is a much cleaner, neater way to do a lot of the same things. I really like the way that I can mount the device using the supplied suction cup, to the windshield. That puts it right in my line of vision while driving, and I found having a nicely displayed speedometer available without having to look down was a big plus on my recent 1,000 mile (one day) drive. There is a bewildering number of optional displays that you can scroll through, and I was impressed with the quality and clarity of virtually all of the options. Some just toggle the items that are displayed (like vacuum / turbo boost, battery voltage, fuel / air ratio, altitude (am I climbing?), etc. There's a dedicated clock display in the lower right corner that's very useful as well.One interesting quirk is that I was driving with an "old-school" GPS unit, a 'droid phone running the ubiquitous mapping app, and this device. There was a 1mph difference between the phone and GPS, and another 1mph difference to this unit. I honestly have no idea which was accurate, but that was at 75-80mph so 1mph or so makes little difference.I doubt I'll leave this device attached to the car when I'm not in "road trip mode" simply because of the cord that is necessarily draped across the top of the dash, and "having something sitting on my dash", but I really can see it being used by many folks as a full-time speedometer (especially if you happen to have a broken speedometer on your vehicle, or maybe you've re-geared your off-road vehicle and currently have no idea how fast you're really going!All in all, I'm fairly blown away with the amount of technology and the display quality of this little device. It comes with alternate mounting hardware, including a bottom-located pivoting surface mount that can be attached in many different ways on your dash. With a little creativity, the cord could be hidden, and the aesthetics of the device would be just fine, especially for a car you need to install supplemental gauges in anyway.
