Loved it! Eager for More
Dragon’s Gift by Jasmine Walt and May Sage is book one in their Dragon’s Gift Trilogy. Dragon’s Gift is a reverse harem novel, so be forewarned there will be LOTS of steamy situations. In Dragon’s Gift, we are introduced to Dareena Sellis. Dareena doesn’t have high hopes for her life. She is a serving girl at Hallowdale Inn. The man that she works for wants her to consider marrying him, which is not something that she would like to contemplate. He’s a much older man, and his disposition leaves much to be desired. While he cannot formally propose to her, due the decree that none may do so until the Dragon’s Gift has been found, he still puts pressure on her to not attend the festivities. After visiting with a friend, she is gifted with a beautiful dress and encouraged to attend the festivities regardless. It’s a memorable time to be enjoyed. So Dareena goes. Little does she suspect that she will be one of the ones selected to go to the palace to go through the selection process of determining who the Dragon’s Gift is. Seemingly overnight she goes from seemingly being a nobody to being declared the Dragon’s Gift. Now she is faced with the task of choosing one of the three sons of the King to become the next heir and her mate. The dragons are at war with the elves, for a crime that is believed to have been perpetrated by them either at their hand or at the hand of the warlocks at their behest. There is danger outside the palace, but the most pressing danger is closest at hand and growing more unstable with each passing day. Can Dareena make the right choice for herself and the kingdom? Or will madness reign?Dragon’s Gift is an intense novel by Jasmine Walt and May Sage that grabs you and pulls you in start to finish. The authors do a good job building the story and starting off with a character that has strength and spunk. Dareena knows how to hold her tongue when it is necessary and speak up when she must. This very trait is what gets her noticed by the dragon huntress and chosen to be one of the initial selected. When Dareena is found to be the Dragon’s Gift her whole world changes. She is now living in the palace and has two weeks to decide between the men whom she will mate with. This should be an easy task, but as spends time with each of the men, she finds that making a choice will be no easy thing. There is something about each of the men that call and pulls her. Slowly she comes to the belief that maybe she is meant for all of them, but what could this mean for the King who is slowly falling into madness? This story starts as a slow burn. There isn’t a lot of sex until about over halfway through the story. There is one scene with one of the brother’s and another woman, but it is brief and fleeting. While Dareena starts off as a virgin, once things get steamy between her and the brothers all bets are off and things go full force from that point forward. Part of me wanted to have an issue with one scene of where she is one of the brother’s room waiting for him. She’s already naked in his bed and only has a sheet covering herself but then wants to act shy. I felt that this was playing false and that instead she should have been described as being coy. She knows what she is there for, and her intent is clear based on the fact that she is already naked. She’s shown her confidence by her actions so why play shy? It just seemed to contradicting to me.Regardless, this is one story that I thoroughly have enjoyed reading. The story engages me from start to finish and leaves me wanting to know more. You can quickly tell, the closer to the end you get, that there are secrets all around. The questions begin to crop up everywhere and the question is the same…Why? What is it that they are hiding? What is the truth behind what is going on? What will happen next? This story does have steamy scenes AND it ends on a cliffhanger! So! If you do not like EITHER one of these things…DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! ESPECIALLY SINCE the description CLEARLY STATES: This is a REVERSE HAREM novel and has STEAMY SCENES AND SITUATIONS!!! If you DO enjoy steamy scenes that get you hot, and you don’t mind the cliffhanger that leaves you begging for more then, by all means, GRAB THIS BOOK UP!! I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I am looking forward to the next book in this series! Things are only going to get more intense from here!

Interesting
I didn't like it enough to read the rest of the series but it was a decent read. I think the premise is cool but it was a little boring at times.

I love this series!
This book was a fantastic start to a series. As an opener that set the stage for a powerful plot line, I was definitely pulled in from the first 3 chapters and then couldn’t put it down after that. I love that the FMC is a little sassy and has a spitfire attitude at times that sets her apart, especially during the selection process. More so when she meets her 3 potential mates. I can’t wait to dive into the second book next and see what happens from here!

This book has it all and it was an awesome read.
Dragons. Check! Strong female leads. Check! Hot, swoony book boyfriends. Check! Reverse Harem. Check! This book has it all! All of my favourite things wrapped up into one awesome story written by two of my favourite authors. What more could a girl want? (Well book two now would be nice but I'm not going to complain 😉) Seriously though, this book was amazing.Yes I'll admit, I'm a big fan of anything to do with dragons. I've always loved them and always will. Just mention dragons to me and I get excited so I knew straight away from reading the title that I quite likely would enjoy the story. The second big bonus for me was that this book is a reverse harem novel (if you don't know what reverse harem means then Google it, to be honest you're either going to love it or hate it but I do recommend at least giving one reverse harem book a try, and make it this one). I love this genre, yes it will never be everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely mine and I really enjoy RH stories.Although just because two of my favourite things are in a book doesn't mean that I'll enjoy it as it also needs to have a credible story line running through it, some likeable characters and do be well written. Well don't fear as Dragon's Gift contains all of that and more. It's exciting, it's dynamic, it's page turning, it's captivating and it's enjoyable to read. So enjoyable that I found it near on impossible to put down. I liked pretty much most of the characters, although I wasn't sure I would like all the prince's at first I found by about half way through I couldn't decide who was my favourite. I really, really enjoyed reading this book and I'm so looking forward to reading the next book (word is that this will be a trilogy, squee!) It was a great read for me and I definitely recommend you giving this a try, the full five stars from me (and more if I could)
