Not bad but not what I thought.
Not a bad album. What made me buy this was I heard one song (The Process) on the Fat Wreck Chords website. I liked the gritty sound of the this song. I was hoping the rest of the album was like this because I like my punk rock gritty sounding. The album is a mix of acoustic songs and other stuff. It's not bad. It grows on you. It took me a few more listenings to kinda start to like it.

If you enjoy raspy voiced punk singers you're going to love this band as much as I do! Well worth picking up!

Nice Surprise
There are lots of bands these days doing the acoustic/folk thing, and gruff punk is nothing new, either. However, now and then, I'll find a release that is pleasantly surprising - and this is one that falls in that category. From the video on Fat Wreck's site I thought this would be worth checking out, and I'm glad I took the chance. Most of these songs are performed either primarily acoustically or focus primarily on acoustic instruments. The lead's vocals are rough and scratchy, but provide a great compliment to what the rest of the band is doing. These songs initially come off as simple, but do provide layers if you're paying attention. The lyrics are easy to relate to; at least, if you've ever felt out of place, lost something or someone, or found yourself hanging out in a place you know you shouldn't - but end up making friends anyway - these lyrics should be easy to find yourself in.Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of any of the acoustic folk/punk (Turner, Ragan, etc) that's popular, but if that stuff feels like the pop-punk of the folk movement, this would definitely be the street punk version. Very good. Go buy it.
