Breathes and blocks the sun
I can wear this for a 12 mile hike or all day on the paddle board. I stay surprisingly cool. It keeps me sunburn free. It does a pretty decent job of keeping the mosquitos from biting me.I'm not a big guy at 5'7" and 165 pounds. The medium is a bit loose, which is exactly how I like it. If I wanted a form fitting size, I'd go for the small.

Great Features, Ideal in White for Cooling
This long sleeve sun shirt offers excellent UPF 50+ UV protection, making it a fantastic choice for outdoor activities. The design is functional and includes a convenient pocket, which adds to its practicality. However, opting for a white color would enhance its cooling properties, especially in hot weather, as lighter shades tend to reflect sunlight better. While the shirt performs well, the color choice can significantly impact comfort during prolonged exposure to the sun. Overall, this shirt is a solid option for those seeking sun protection while enjoying outdoor adventures. Just keep in mind that selecting a lighter color can improve comfort and keep you cooler under the sun. Here are the long sleeve sun shirts we found for you:

Lightweight, generously cut, easier than sunscreen!
First, I really like this shirt. I ordered it for beach days, and it's great! Lightweight, doesn't hold heat, very comfortable. I love the hood - especially since I like to nap on the beach after a morning on the water, and I can pull the hood over my eyes against the midday sun.The cut is generous - like, really generous! I ordered a large because I expected it to fit really close to the skin like a typical rashguard, but this is a very relaxed fit more like a hoodie or t-shirt than a typical rashguard. I could have been fine with a medium. My buddy who normally wears an XL said this was "a bit snug" on him. So judge from that what you will fit-wise.The sleeves are a tad long for me, but I'm on the shorter side - for taller guys they're probably perfect. I like the thumb-holes for swimming - they help keep my sleeves down and my skin safe from burning. And since they're so long I can pull my hands all the way into the sleeves when I'm out in the sun. So that's nice, even if not as intended. It's not as easy to spot in the ocean as I expected - but that's probably no surprise since I ordered the ocean blue. If you want your compatriots to be able to spot you from land, be sure to use a bright snorkel or belt or something. But a great shirt, and I'm going to get lots of use out of it.Editing to add: After a few days' use I'm pumped about this hood! I not only use it for naps, but a lot of times I'll just drape it or bunch it up around my neck when I feel the sun getting intense. I've never had that option in my hoodless UV shirts, but I'm finding myself using it for that a lot--almost like an attached gaiter! If you're pale and don't want to burn your neck, this hood is awesome!

Good for fishing
My husband wears this when fishing.Lightweight and breathable, it is easy to wear when fishing and great for sun protection. There are finger holes on the wrist to put your thumbs in to prevent the sleeves from rolling up and also the back of your hands from getting sunburned.Similar designs are common, and many products have sleeves that pull tight when the fingers are inserted, but this product has roomy sleeves, so they do not pull tight. The hood is also roomy, so it is easy to put on the hood.

Fits great
I love wearing this shirt while out kayaking. Its lightweight, and breathes great! It dries out quickly too. Its loose enough to not feel constricting, but thick enough to provide great sun coverage. I am very pale, my family jokes I glow in the dark. I have yet to get any kind of sunburn while wearing this out. It holds up great in the wash too!

Runs a little large / long.
Sizing: These seem to run just a bit large and long. I ordered my regular size, which was also the Amazon recommended size. The shirt is much looser than my regular fit, and hangs lower.Quality: Everything feels like it's made well, is durable, and is what it should be. The lightweight material is really nice, and I like the amount of stretch in it. It's just that the entire thing feels a touch too big.Appearance / aesthetics: It's soft, it's light, it's stretchy and comfortable. The color is even throughout. It looks great, with no giant logos or brands on it.Thoughts: I'd probably order a size smaller next time, but it'll still very much work for my needs. It'll absolutely get worn a lot.

Lightweight And Breathable
As I get older, trying to live a healthy lifestyle becomes more and more important. Therefore, I try to stick to my exercise regimen. And, while exercising, I like to wear comfortable clothing. So, when I got the opportunity to get this long sleeve UPF 50+ hoodie, I did not hesitate. I really like the feel. It’s super lightweight, as it is made of a soft polyester and spandex blend, which is loose fitting, breathable, and very stretchable. It is both moisture wicking and quick drying. I really like the thumb holes and pockets. I assume, with the proper care, it should last quite a while. Lastly, by living down here, in the South Florida sun, the hooded UPF 50+ sun protection factor will be a huge benefit.

The hoodie for not-hoodie guys
The last time I wore a hoodie was nearly fifty years ago, a Champion sweatsuit that I wore for boxing workouts. The main purpose was to make you sweat. You know, Rocky Balboa vibe. And I don't currently own a drawer or closet-full of designer hoodies.I own one. This one.And it's perfect for giving you an extra layer on a nippy summer evening yet light enough to give you comfortable protection while fishing, hiking, camping during summer.
