By far my favorite book in the series so far
I have read all the volumes up to this point, and to be honest, there were times I wondering why I was even continuing to do so. There's so much fan service and time spent on long and overly sexual conversations that Araragi's favoribility rating with me was getting too low to handle. However, the characters were just so interesting, and there always seemed to be some spark there, some twist or interest in what antics were coming next that would keep me going. This volume has turned around my impressions of this series from "interesting enough to keep going" to "this is starting to live up to the hype now". So much more happens in this volume compared to the others. The dialogue doesn't seem as pointless, the characters sans Araragi seem even more interesting than before, the pacing was excellent, and I got to the point where I didn't want to put the book down much earlier than in previous installments. Heck, I would just recommend this volume outright if it didn't require having read most of the other ones to appreciate it!

Another excellent entry
This story entails the background of Mayoi Hachikuji through Koyomi Araragi's perspective. Other characters from the series make an appearance such as Ogi(Meme Oshino's niece) and Shinobu as well. As the story progresses, Oshino is briefly mentioned and does end up helping Araragi in some way with the conflict that he eventually encounters. Overall, the story is very enjoyable and is another excellent entry in the series!

Nisio is one of the best japaneses writers as of now
Nisio is one of the best japaneses writers as of now, it doesn't matter if you regard light novels and mangas as proper literature, he'll still be one of the best and most influent ones. Doubt it? Read it.

Great humor, a pretty "Dandy" story indeed.
Compared the the anime adaptation, the light novel provides more details, insights and of course, monologue

Not all Dandy's are from Space, Baby...
2nd season of the Monogatari continues in this wild ride of a novel. It's hard to imagine the series ever acheiving a higher scale than this.Kabuki starts out on August 20th, the last day of summer vacation and one day before the events of the last novel. Shinobu brings to Araragi's attention that he has a problem. Despite having spent all summer studying to improve his grades, he never actually did any of his summer homework. With no time left, Shinobu decides to cross something she always wanted to do off her bucket list and plans to travel a few days in the past to give Araragi time to complete his homework. What could possibly go wrong?Or rather, what could possibly go right?Kabuki is a comedy of errors. I won't spoil everything for you, but I will tell you this: Araragi and Shinobu end up going back 11 years. While there, Araragi decides to save Hachikuji from being hit by a car. All of the usually Nisioisnisms are here, from the crackling dialogue to the amazing character development. As with a few past volumes, I felt that too much time was spent on characters making jokes and it through of the pacing. This novel is actually the second longest in the series so far. But as with those past volumes, it does come together in the last 50+ pages for a grand conclusion. You won't want to miss this.

Gran historia

Super recomendado
