Perfect in every way that matters
Wow! Good looking, lightweight, rugged, divider, basket, color choices, capacity, ice retention...this cooler has it all! And all for $200! I also looked at the RTIC ultralight 52qt, as the Engel 60qt's only competitor. They are roughly the same price, but in the end I liked the Engle's added capacity and accessories over the RTIC.I wish the Engel came in a few more color choices and if it has a possible weak spot, the latches would be it. Time will tell. But I've already noticed replacement latches are available.

HAPPY I WENT WITH THE NEW ENGEL!
Lightweight, sleek, non marking/skidfree feet and I love the basket/cutting board (would be cool if the cutting board could also lay across the top channel like the basket but only a suggestion for future models maybe). Ice retention is great so far. Only used it once but it kept goods cold all day in a very hot environment with minimal ice and no precooling measures.... obviously got it as a gift and it's been a great additon to our game day travels! GO BILLS! 🏈

Absolutely perfect!!!.
What is not to like?.Purchased during a exclusive promotion.Couldn't pass it up.So glad I did.First thing I did was tighten up all the screws. They are machine screws, telling me there are metal plates built into cooler for durability. The large silicone seal is very robust and seals exceptionally well.Has the standard strap down slots for security brackets.Nice large lock holes. My 2 in shackle locks fit nice and tight which provides the best seal possible. The tray and divider are also top notch as well.Drain plug doesn't have to be removed to drain. As for ice retention, I havnt tested yet, From other reviews, it is perfect for long weekend trips.Probably a lot longer. This cooler is a perfect addition for all outdoor activities.I could not be happier. The quality, price, and design are great. Will be getting lock brackets, chain, and better locks.Nobody is getting my engel.Period!!!.

Heavyweight performance in a lightweight package.
This cooler is the perfect combination of weight, capacity and price. The heavy duty rotomolded 10 day ice retention coolers are awesome for extended trips, extreme heat, etc.- I own several of them, but that extended ice retention comes with a high price tag and some serious weight to lug around. Often (and most often) I only need to keep things cold from 1-4 days. I've used this cooler a couple times now, and once was for a long weekend. I did pre-chill the cooler overnight as I always try and do, but it lost less than half the ice over the 3+ days with the lid being opened repeatedly. I didn't really notice a difference in ice retention from my standard Engels or YETIs in that duration. I'm guessing 5+ days wouldn't be an issue. The reduced weight is appreciated when lugging it around (it weighs the exact same as my YETI 35, and has twice the capacity), and the price is right- bridging the gap between HD rotomolded monsters and cheap off the shelf semi-disposables that don't last or keep ice well. My standard Engels will still get the call for week-long hunting and fishing adventures, but this new "lightweight 60" is the perfect size and weight for daily to long weekend use. The included divider, basket, and built-in bottle opener are bonuses, as is the fact that most 750ml-1L wine and liquor bottles fit inside standing up- something that always annoyed me about most 50-65qt coolers. I'm guessing this will become my most used cooler.

Love it. Good ice retention, no leaks and light weight
Just returned from 10 days in New England. 75-80 F days and 50 deg evenings. Started with 35 lbs of ice and added about a total of 30 lbs over the 10 days. I Left the cooler in the car entire trip. I drained water every couple days when I went to town.I used the included dry goods rack for lunch meats and leftovers. The lunch meat cheese was good the entire trip. This cooler is a nice compromise between a heavy rotomolded and a less expensive and lighter option. The quarter turn drain locks and seals well. I had a little leakage early on only because I forgot to check it before use - so be sure to check that it’s tightly sealed. Once I tightened it never leaked again.I’d purchase again with no hesitation.

Got a good deal...
Yes good quality. Heavy, you are not carrying this thing up and down beach. Keep in boat or truck, OK.It's a keeper!

Better than the more well known expensive coolers
This ice chest cooler is the best I've ever owned. It holds ice very well in the Louisiana tropical heat. The trick is to put really cold ice in to start with. The ice from those ice maker vending machines is barely below freezing temp. If you can, put in a couple of frozen jugs of ice at below 0* F degrees to cool the inside of the cooler down. The snap down latches seal the box tightly and the large sturdy threaded drain plug with a rubber gasket will not accidently leak or come out.It is not a cheap box like you buy at Dollar General but costs less than some other brands that are no better. Highly recommended.Added: We just got back from Colorado, a 2000 mile round trip. Before we left I put in two frozen 1 gallon containers and we added bag ice along the way. The cooler was opened every day for drinks and food. When we got home there was some of the original ice still frozen. It will hold ice and will not leak with the threaded drain plug type provided.

Not what I was expecting.
We purchased this cooler, hoping that it will keep ice cold for the mentioned 7 days. I think that only works if you only have ice in the cooler. We have used this cooler several times, and each time the cooler is kept indoors, out of the sun and the temp does not get above 75°. The ice in the cooler has only lasted 3 days. We may end up with cold water on the 4th day. However, I do love the latches - better than the pull-down rubber ones. The looks of the cooler is spot on (nice grey tone) and I love the wire tray as well - great addition to the cooler.
