Confessions of the Dead: The gripping mystery thriller from the No. 1 bestselling author

Best read this year
Absolutely loved this book. It was gripping from the first page to the last. I'm hoping there is a possibility of a second book. The twists and turns were unexpected. But it's so good I bought it for two other people 🤣 Just so that I had someone to talk to about it. 🙂

Not your usual Patterson
As a fan of Stephen King and Dean Koontz I really enjoyed this book and have no complaints. However if you are expecting the typical James Patterson thriller prepare to be surprised if not disappointed. I don't know if I would read more of this genre from JP purely because I get it elsewhere and his books provide relief from the Sci-fi. All that said the writing was superb and the storyline kept me engaged.

So so
To be honest in not very keen on these "one off" books, I call them his weird collection. My problem is that you don't know it's one until you start to read it!!! By the time I know it's too late, so I feel I must finish it, as usual. I find them very slow reading and quite predictable!!!!Next time a warning would be great!!!!!

Awful
I have read most of James Patterson books but have not read one with this co author. I will not be reading another. I saw nothing of Patterson in the writing and get the feeling this is a J.D. Barker novel. I didn't bother to finish it as science fiction is not something I choose to read.I feel that it should be made clear to readers that this is a sci fi book and not what one expects from James Patterson.

Typical Patterson story that draws you in as you read.
I am a fan of Patterson, so a bit biased when reviewing. this is one of his better one's.

More like a Stephen King than Patterson
Didn’t enjoy it. Gave up half way through. It was like reading a Stephen King novel but with more, constant, violence.Well written but not suitable as a novel published under James Patterson name .

what on earth!!
I found this book to be one of the worst James Patterson novels I’ve read!It was neither gripping, nor a thriller and the mystery is what possessed him to write it - I assume J D Barker had the bigger hand in the storyline.

WHAT DID I JUST READ!?!
OMGosh … what a literary rollercoaster ride! No way I could have imagined the twists & turns this tale spins you around … and the ending!?!?! Sooo intrigued by the ‘interview’ segments throughout the novel; but it’s culmination…What Was That!?! No spoilers here; another well done collaboration by two very talented authors! I’m fascinated by the lil extra ‘WTF’ J.D Barker brings out in a James Patterson story … Well Done Gentleman & Thank You!!

A thrill ride
This book does not disapoint. From the very first page, you are hooked. Both authors succeed in grabbing your attention and never letting go.I had to read this offering in one sitting. Impossible to put down.A must read for fans of J D Barker and James Patterson. Certainly worthy of more than 5 stars.

What a disappointment!
I am a huge James Patterson fan, and have been for many years; that may very well be changing now!His last book, Eruption, was a huge disappointment. If anything, this one was marginally better but the ending was awful.Stephen King fans would be thrilled with the first three quarters of the book, and I admit I was eagerly reading through the first couple of hundred pages. Once the kids began dissecting the crows, it fell apart in spectacular fashion. I know it's sci-fi so it is supposed to test the limits of reality, but this was ridiculous. I feel like I wasted my time reading another James Patterson book that was horribly disappointing! I will think twice before starting another James Patterson book.
