Q: Is the tan color orange?

Tan is a light brown - it does have a burnt orange tint to it. Like new saddle leather.

Q: Has anyone tried the tan. Want to use on my Uug boots but obviously don’t want to ruin them?

I took the risk with a pair of insipid beige Todd’s loafers. The suede dye works very well, creating an even color and doesn’t dry the suede ( regular leather dye does, apparently). Be aware, however, that the tan color on suede is quite a bright orange, at least when applied to a light colored base like beige.
