Be Prepared for the Backcountry in all four seasons!
This tent is unique as it has door flaps that close the opening to provide more warmth. It is lightweight and an easy setup. I have one in my snowmobile pack and my hiking pack. I find the material the same as an emergency bivvy blanket, but the tent holds heat in and provides a shelter from the cold. Great product, highly recommend!!

Not a very durable survival shelter
I've been in the market for a good, lightweight, durable survival shelter to keep in the bottom of my daypack, just in case something unexpected happens during one of my long hikes in the woods. This shelter arrived quickly, and upon initial inspection, seemed to be of "OK" quality. When I took it out onto our deck to set it up and get a better inspection, that's when things went downhill. This thing is basically a glorified disposable space blanket with doors and some grommets to suspend it from a couple of trees. The grommets ripped as soon as I tried to tighten the ropes enough to suspend the tent, which basically turned the tent into a floppy bivy sack. The poor quality is especially troubling, since most people who purchase this tent will not try it out before sticking it in the bottom of their pack, with the false belief that they are in possession of an emergency shelter, should an emergency actually occur. This could lead to potentially deadly consequences depending on the circumstances.Overall, I can not recommend this product, at all.

Going in to my emergency gear
This is one of those things that will go into my emergency gear that I hope I never have to use. It's a redundant, last resort item for me. It will serve its purpose but will probably (hopefully) be a one-time use item.

Very nice to have.
An emergency shelter is always nice to have in either your car, bugout, get-home, etc. kits. This is nice because it's much easier to utilize in case I have my kids with me. I don't know what size soda can the company is comparing this to but that's a huge can haha! It is fairly light weight, so take that into consideration in understanding its strength. Overall, it's nice to have but it is much more of a creature comfort emergency tent compared to what you can put together with a mylar/emergency blanket.
