Doorbell Transformer 16V 30VA Thermostat Power Adapter Hardwired Door Chime Transformer Compatible with Video Doorbell Ring Pro Nest Hello

I really like this product! It was the wrong one for me but I really like the quality!!! It was my fault i ordered the wrong item mount.

Previous doorbell transformer I purchased in July was not powerful enough to power Ecobee’s thermostat and doorbell. I purchased this one and so far it is performing as expected. The price was good too.

I needed to replace my old 17v transformer as it didn’t have enough power to run two video doorbell units and still be able to ring the mechanical chime.The first unit I received must have had an internal short, I could only get 2.5V on the output and got hot and began to smoke before I could disconnect the breaker. I was able to get another unit sent as replacement.It too was damaged is shipment( a transformer is too heavy to be sent in a padded envelope).Because of the shipping damage, I checked the resistance of the primary winding. It measured ~ 20ohms. Secondary measured about 1 ohm so the 20:1 ratio was correct or I proceeded to connect the mains and checked the output voltage. Unloaded I got 25Vac on the secondary, no heating issues. Turned the breaker off again and connected the secondary load.I am happy to say both video doorbells are working and the mechanical chime is also now working.The transformer is exactly what I was looking for. The fit is just what needed. The amperage on the output solved the issues I was having with the chime. I cannot blame the manufacturer for shipping damage or defects in a transformer, these things happen to electromechanical items from time to time.

what power and stable

I used this to upgrade an old normal doorbell to a Smart doorbell. Worked great and was easy to install.

I do a lot of smart doorbells and having a powerful enough transformer is imperative. This does a great job and works great. Easy to install and puts out the right voltage and doesn’t get too hot.

I bought this because my old doorbell transformer wasn't quite powerful enough to work with my new Google/Nest doorbell and ring my interior bell. This one is powerful enough. So a simple swap of them was sufficient to solve the issue. It worked well and was easy to install.

My doorbell transformer blew, and the doorbell no longer worked. I replaced it with this transformer because it provides more power in the event I upgrade to a video doorbell.
