This was a Birthday present for my step dad and he absolutely loved it! He binge watched the entire thing... and he's not the binge watching type.Definitely worth buying!

Loved this series when it first aired on BBC4. I never understood why it wasn’t a bigger hit but I suppose going to thee seasons says something. Quite a dark subject matter but I think that’s when British comedy is at its best. Some brilliant performances, particularly from Tony Gardner as the eccentric Lt. Col Smith and Stephen Wight as the put-upon Simon. Katie Lyons is wonderful as Bird, the responsible adult of the group, and lovely Matthew Lewis is a great addition as cheeky northern bastud, Tower Block, in the second season. Lots of laughs and moments of real tension - it’s Danger UXB brought bang up to date. See what I did there?

I first caught the second to last episode of this on BBC three. Then went back and found other episodes. I think it captures the interplay of the characters very well, everyone is well rounded and doing a comedy from this kind of subject matter was very brave. Then again, perhaps this is the only way you could cover the life of an ATO in Afghanistan without it being incredibly serious and depressing. Super series to watch, just a shame there isn't more of it.

I was late coming to see this show as I stumbled on to it late one night on BBC3 just as it was coming to an end. So I saw the box set for a great price and bought it straight away. It's cracking series about a British bomb disposal detachment in Afghanistan it's full of banter and jokes galore plus when it needs to be serious it does it excellently. It's only 3 series long with a Christmas special amounting to only 21 episodes but each episode is excellent, I only wish they would either do a series 4 or a special one off to see what happened to the gang when they got back to the UK, especially Simon. A brilliant but very underrated series.

Best TV series ever from BBC until they went WOKE.Sad, exciting and full of dark humour.Ended at exactly the right time (after 3 seasons) while it was still good.

i had to track this down to purchase , really love it. best thing to do is look up clips on youtube, if it s your kind of humour, it is consistently funny and the characters well defined . the foibles and flailing attempts to dispose of bombs, find love plan weddings back home and nav interpersonal interactions in an afghan war zone. ...and answer correctly , the pressing question..." whats the first rule"?

Great series, but make sure you have a multi-region Blu-Ray player if you,live in the USA.
