I hadn't noticed it to be bothersome. Vinyl smells like vinyl. Especially when new. As I always do, I wash new products like this with warm soapy water. But if the odor is unpleasant for you, you might try airing them outside for a few days.

Q: Is this color a dark brown

Dark brown on one side, radish brown on the other. They are reversible.

Q: Do they skid on polished wood?

I don’t think these skid on polished wood though they are smooth on the bottom. They are on the thin side- not thick.

Q: I need 6 not two sets for 8, can I buy 6?

I had to buy 2 sets of 4 to get the 6 I needed.
