Vionic Womens Rest Sonora Backstrap Gladiator Sandal

Update 7/2018: adding photos. These sandals are still going strong. I have been trying to walk more while at work so I have been using these more than my other. Since they hold onto your whole foot, there is no need to grab with your toes, which in itself helps reduce pain and about inflammation. I wish they would make more shoes with a backstrap that buckles (I'm 27 and velcro feels too old or too young for me).Now that I am using these more often, the suede footbed has gotten the expected marks and stinky foot smell. That's why I cought these in black. I would buy again, because the support is so great with all the buckles. But I am avoiding other Vionics with suede footbed (which unfortunately is most nowadays).I got my first Orthaheel sandals in 2010, and have now switched all my warm-weather shoes to Orthaheel/Vionic, as well as use their insole inserts for my winter shoes. And I have to say, these might be the most comfy of all of them! I was so excited when they came out with a "gladiator" style! Most of them have cardboard-thin, flat soles.I was concerned the suede-like sole would get gross, but it has not been an issue, and it feels so nice on my feet! The width of all the more stylish sandals are a little on the narrow side (as opposed to Tide, which are a bit on the wide side). But, not too narrow to be an issue for me (my feet are on the wide end of normal).It is a bit annoying that they can't slip on/off, and take some time to put on, but I suppose it's like that for all sandals of this style, so that's not really a con for the shoe itself. You just have to be careful when you take them off, not to lose the two upper straps. The bottom one is connected to the shoe, but the others are just threaded through. I've had them fall out a couple times, but thankfully have been able to recover them. I make sure to buckle them even when I take them off now.I have gotten lots of compliments on these, and then of course surprise when I mentioned they're orthotic shoes.

I love this shoe! Looks beautiful on! Also, very comfortable! Can be worn for casual or dressy. I love Vionic shoes and have many pairs.

I own many Vionic sandals and they work well for me. I've wanted a pair of gladiator sandals so was happy to see Vionic had them. I like the fit but I don't like the center strap because it moves around. I know it's necessary for it to be able to move but it ends up off to the side and not on top of my foot so it annoys me. I took the center strap off. Still a nice look but not the look I wanted.

Agree with the other reviewers that these doe take awhile to put on and take off because of the buckles. I've been wearing Vionic shoes for the past 2 year and love them. These do have a softer foot-bed than other pairs I've own but they are very comfortable. With Vionic sandals I do have to size down a half size but with a closed toe I'm true to size. The shipment came several days earlier than the initial tracking showed

Very cute sandals but it is annoying to have to buckle every single one of the straps and the front strap the has the fun little metal buttons slides around on the front strap so it needs to be adjusted often otherwise it will look funny. Other than that, these are cute and comfy.

Love these sandals!! So comfortable and great for people with foot problems and they're still adorable! Finally cute sandals that don't kill your feet!

This shoe is very cute. the biggest problem got me is that the straps are all buckle. and I'm a bigger girl so i cant quite get to my ankle as well as others... Also the two upper straps come off completely and I almost lost one

Wide opening for the toes. Therefore toes will move forward when you walk. I’m sending them back.

I love to wear any shoe or sandal that gives me a bit of height. So I must admit that wearing these out in public has taken some getting used to as they are flat.

Great shoes but buy a half size down for a proper fit. Take on your international travels and breeze through the cities.
