I read the previous reviews so I sort of knew what I would be recieving. Yes, the curtains are more like a thin sheet which will block out the view but allow some light through. But most important they can be hung straightaway. There is no chemical smell and they feel silky of good quailty material. I have them as sunscreen to my normal curtains.

Not the best for aesthetics but couldn't find anything as cheap in this size and they are for the spare room anyway. Honestly, it looks like I have put bed sheets on the window.

When it said sheer voile curtains, I was expecting something along the lines of a fairly thick net curtain. The fabric is opaque. It's more like thin white sheeting. One thing I do like about them is that you can use them with curtain hooks or a curtain pole. These are reasonable quality, but they don't let much light through them. Unless you are looking for a heavy sunscreen, I don't think these will be suitable. And if you are looking for a sunscreen, these are 100% polyester. It looks a bit like you've put a sheet up at the window. If you look carefully at the pictures you can see they are opaque. The description, I think, is a bit misleading.
