Risk your projector with this bulb
Bought this replacement bulb over a month ago for my Viewsonic Pro8200. I have bought several replacement bulbs before (not from Amazon), so this was just another one of those things that I have to do to prolong my projector's life.First off, this bulb was more finicky than the other ones I have purchased before. It started flickering 2 weeks after installation. I chucked that to just the bulb adjusting to my machine. I've tried every setting, but the flickering didn't really go away, but it didn't bother me at some point so I just continued using it as it was.Fast forward to last night, I turned on my projector to watch as usual. It turned on for a few minutes. The fan was running just fine. Then all of a sudden, bam, it died and made a few stuttering noises. Next thing I know, I was smelling burnt plastic. I felt the top of my projector, and it was ridiculously hot. I unplugged it, and unscrewed the top. The surrounding areas melted. This replacement bulb melted my projector!! UGH! So now, I am out $60 for the bulb AND I have to get a new projector for $650. Wow, all I wanted was a decent replacement bulb. So, fair warning to you guys: replace with this bulb at your own risk. This is unacceptable. I contacted Amazon customer service, and they are refunding me for the bulb's cost, but now I am also set back by at least $650 for a replacement projector.

Easy install. A budget replacement that will not last 800 hours.
Installed perfectly into my ViewSonic Pro 8200. Much cheaper than the OEM replacement and every bit as bright. Definitely a great bargain assuming you are a little handy, as replacing only the bulb is a little more challenging than exchanging the entire lamp housing. Just be careful because removing the blown bulb likely involves exposure to a sea of glass shards.Update: The bulb blew after 340 hours. I contacted the seller and received an immediate replacement as it was under warranty. I will post a follow up to report on the life of the second bulb.Update 2: I had ordered a second bulb when the first blew, just in case. That bulb lasted 275 days, ~624 hours. I'm now operating on the warranty replacement provided when the first blew. Since I do not appear to be covered under any warranty for the two I have (it's been more than 180 days since they were delivered), I'll be ordering a backup of another brand. In the end, it's a decent bulb while it works, but replacing them twice a year is really not what I was expecting, even at this price.

Optoma compatible
Worked perfectly on as a replacement for an Optoma HD33 bulb.

Installed in September, burned out in January. Steer clear big tuna. Head for open waters.
The original OEM lamp burned out after 5 years of usage. So I purchased this bulb in August 2018 and installed it in September 2018. We don't use the projector every day. It might get 15-20 hours of use per week on the high end and some weeks just 2-5 hours. In January I turn it on and there was a sizzle followed by a pop. Opening it up I find the bulb burned out. There's a reason these are so cheap. The OEM replacement is expensive but I'm going to go for it.
