I like cases with a rubbery inner layer and a hard outer layer, and this one does a great job of protecting the phone from drops and bumps. A raised lip around the screen prevents scratches from laying it down on a rough surface. The rubber and hard plastic are molded together in one piece, making the case surprisingly thin.The rubber sticks out in the corners and over the volume and power buttons. The case makes it somewhat harder to press the buttons, but I actually like this as it prevents the phone from accidentally turning on in my pocket. There are cutouts for the camera, kickstand, speaker, headphone jack, and charging port, but no flaps to protect the camera or ports when not in use.The case needs to be removed in order to access the SD card, and removing it is tricky. You have to carefully follow the instructions and start at the bottom, near the microphone hole. If you get the order wrong, you risk tearing off the back panels of the phone. Removing the case flexes it a little too much, and after a few months the plastic along the sides cracked. It returned it and got another one, but the same thing happened. I eventually switched to the Otterbox commuter case. While that case is a bit bulkier, I can get it off much more easily thanks to its two part design.

Have to admit this case is very hard, when i tried to take it off my phone it was a pain, just way too hard to lift off and almost broke the plastic shell off my camera.

This case is incredibly functional. Its cosmetics degrade quickly, so be warned f you just want your phone to look pretty for months, get something else. It does develop surface scuffing with RIDICULOUS ease. HOWEVER! It has survived falls from the roof of my car, being stepped on several times, multiple desk falls onto tile, and my everyday abuses.The only reason I give four stars, and not five, isn't because of failure to maintain an image. I could care less. But the edges do chip. It doesn't affect the functionality, but it goes a bit beyond just cosmetics. I'll upload pics to go with this in a bit. If you try to take it off or even use a square charger cord instead of HTC's original, the thin plastic edging cracks and eventually chips off. They could have simple made the edges from the more malleable interior to help cushion and give flex.

Cheap and protects my Evo. It is not lasting as long and is falling apart in places around the edge of the phone.

I've had this case on my phone for 6 moths now, and I am a mechanic. It works great, held up to many drops on a cement shop floor, tools hitting it, etc. The only reason I don't love it would be that the thinner parts of the hard plastic around the outside chipped away very easily. The rubberized part of the case is very durable though, so I was very happy when I did not have to replace the cover. Worth the money if you want a thin case that protects very well.

I will give this case credit, as I do believe that it protected my phone in a few situations. The profile was slim enough that it didn't make the phone feel bulky and the design scheme looked good with my black phone. However, I found that many charge plugs would not be able to connect to my phone with the case on, which lead to many dead phone days when I thought it should have been fully charged.

The case was old and crusty...what a disappointment. Loved the case style for evo 4g though.

The rubberized inside was just what i was looking for. I like the rubber grip to the outer portion where my hand is as well. This case is great. It's not too bulky and really covers the phone well. I've not had any problems with it besides when taking it off, its difficult which is a good thing, but it takes the back portion off your phone usually when the case comes off. Not really a complaint. Great case, similar to my wife's Speck Candy Shell Case for iphone, except i like mine better because of the grips. Worth it, i'd buy it again and again!
