The Zen of Steve Jobs

Really love this book. One of my favourite books. Love the cartoon and different feel of the book. Real simple and easy to read with a few real learning point that worth reading again and again. Real learning experience for me and eye opener if you have interest in design, meditation, Buddhism, Steve Jobs or just in general are curious about other way of thinking and seeing the world in another perspective. Could really recommend this book if you are open minded to new things and don't want boring fact driven books. This is alternative book I really enjoyed it.

I really liked this graphic novel, until the end. I just wished it had ended on a happier note, the whole thing has really brought me down. There were so many great things that Kobun taught Steve, why did the authors end with Kobun's tragic mistake, sad, sad, sad. My day is shot now. I am going to leave it on the table at the coffee store because I can't bear to bring that heavy weight back into my house.

This novella makes for an interesting and quick read. I finished it in literally 30 minutes after downloading it. It flows naturally, jumping between time, without breaks or edges. It ignites a few thoughts that never came to me while reading about Jobs. A fantastic graphic novella.

Steve was a tyrant but a genius and had he not been so motivated to accomplish as he was, he would never have created what we all take for granted; our mobility! He taught a lot of newbies how to do business and I'm sure those who worked with and for him, looking back on the experience, will agree that it was the hardest time of their lives but the best because they are where they are due to his skills!

This is a book that follows Steve Jobs mantra to "Think Different." And how that was instilled in Jobs over time with mentor - Kobun. The inspiration comes not from the words, but the thoughts it will instill in you - if you give it a chance.A book with few words, big ideas, and thoughts that will change how you think - if you give it the time and a chance.

Interesting, fresh and innovative approach, yet very short booklet -- rather than reading it, you'll browse through it - and finish it within 10 minutes or so -- still remembering initial price.Content is OK, but definitely not enough for 10 bucks. If it wouldn't be so nicely done, I'd call it a rip-off.

Simple, yet deep. Two people on human journey, who came closer than most to the understanding of spiritual and material refinement, or at least the process of it.

The book reminds me of the comics I read as a child. It is also in the format of the Forbes Africa magazine which incorporates a flap that can be used as a book mark.About the content:"The search for perfection is all very well;but to look for heaven is to live here in hell." - The Police.

The manga book graphically illustrates how Zen and its way influenced Apple's productization and and philosophy or spirit on it. A great read.
