Insanely powerful combo
This combo kit is INSANE.. you get the brushless impact driver and the brushless hammer drill.. the impact driver with two 2.0amphour batteries is already 200.. pay an extra 50 bucks and you get an upgrade 4.0amphour battery and a hammer drill. Why wouldn't you get this combo? Comparable to the DEWALT DCK283D2 combo kit, this one is so much more worth it. That one comes with the same impact driver but comes with a regular drill, not a hammer drill. Why would you pay more for less when this is cheaper and gives you a better tool and battery? That's straight silly. This combo exceeds my expectations. It's just crazy powerful. I came from a 12v B&D drill to drive screws and drill holes and what not but when it came to me building my biggest project yet, a workshop shed the size of a mini house, the 12v could not handle it. I wanted to get a cheapo black and decker impact driver for 50 bucks but decided to invest in good tools to last me forever. I'm not a contractor or anything, just a "weekend warrior" or whatever they call them. Drilling holes and driving in lag bolts into solid 4x6 lumber has never been easier. This combo kit will last forever and it's insanely powerful. I probably could have gotten away with a 50 dollar driver, but once you receive the tools and use them, you'll be happy you made the choice to invest in solid tools. I have zero regrets and will update this review if i come across anything. 05/14/2018UPDATE: 05/17/2018Drilled holes through about 12 1/8th inch steel brackets. I stacked them up, tied them down, and drilled through over an inch of steel and the hammer drill did a fantastic job. Didn’t heat up or anything. The great thing about the hammer drill is you can turn the hammering portion off whenever you don’t want it.The only negative I have about these tools are the forward, center, and reverse switch. They are super light to the touch. It takes just the weight of your finger to switch into reverse mode. It’s more of a fast soft “clickclick” instead of a solid “CLICK CLICK” Kind of annoying. I wish it was a heavier duty switch, but not annoying enough to take off a star.

Best of the Best
I spent a lot of time reading reviews looking for a new drill to replace my 15 year old Craftsman that finally had the Li-Ion battery bite the dust. I had thought about just getting a new battery but some of the things I didn’t like were the weight and the size of the drill. After reading a number of reviews, I narrowed it down to Dewalt’s 791 and 796 products. There is a lot of misinformation about there so I’ll attempt to clarify a few things.Chuck rattle: The chuck on the 791 that I received had something loose in it but it didn’t seem to effect performance. However, there was more chuck movement on the 791 than the 796. The 796 chuck was rock solid with no horizontal movement.Weight: As you can see by the pictures, the weight difference between the 791 and the 796 are not that great (approx 11.2 oz).Length: The overall length difference between the 791 and the 796 is about 9/16 based on the measurements I took. Some measurements on the web show as much as 1.5” difference between the two. This is not the case. This package includes two things that the 791 (and equivalent package) doesn’t include. There is a 4 ah battery providing twice the juice as a normal 2 ah battery. Also, the battery charger with this package will charge batteries twice as fast as the one that comes with the 791.Overall, this is quite possibly the best package you can buy if you are a professional or advanced DIY person.

Great quality Cordless Drill Combo Kit.
I have been wanting to upgrade my cordless drills for a long time. I chose this product because of the name and reputation. I have no reason to believe they will let me down. I have used many other manufacturers such as Mikita, Porter Cable, Milwaukee and more. The DEWALT is the lightest, most powerful, and durable by far. Highly recommend getting one if you use your cordless drills a lot like me.

Best value for your money
The drill is powerful and doesn't eat away at the batteries also has a 20 minute work light setting that has come in handy multiple times. The impact is also light weight but very powerful and the 3 torque mode settings make it versital for many different types of jobs. All in all with the 4ah and the 2ah batteries it's one of the best values for the money

What an upgrade!
Upgraded from the B&D tools I bought as a teenager and these are powerful, great battery life. the flashlight is handy (except against metal the reflection can detract visibility would like to be able to cover the light. I just use a small strip of tape on those applications.)They are really ergonomic even when using the large battery. I am not wild about the belt clip, although it is a nice option, it really only benefits a tool belt. for a weekend warrior it doesn't situate well on my regular belt.

Light doesn’t work
Got the combo pack of drill and impact. The light on the drill does not work. Thought it might have been the switch but to no avail it doesn’t work. Due to the fact that I need it for a upcoming job don’t have the time to send it back, will work something out

Really like
I’m a weekend warrior but do take on some serious projects. I’ve converted over to the 20V Max series after deaths of other tools. I liked this combo and it has worked well. Love the hammer drill option which is perfect for all those masonry screws that I used to hate to drill for.
