A basic power strip with the Energizer name behind it -- well-made & performs well
I’ve always trusted Energizer for reliable products, and this power strip is no exception. It’s proven to be a great addition to my home office setup. Seems to be well-made, with a solid feel that assures me of its durability. What I especially love is the flatter design of the plug, which makes it less obtrusive and easier to fit in various places. The lighted on/off switch is a convenient bonus, allowing for easy control and an at-a-glance ability to see if the power strip is active. There are six power outlets available on this strip, and it sufficiently expands my power options without taking up much space.

Surge Protector
The surge protector is lightweight and is great for our computer area. The side switch makes it easy to shut everything down.

Awesome surge protector!
It works very well. Also, I'm super glad they put the power switch on the side instead of the top where all the plugs are. The thing I dread most is trying to plug or unplug something and accidentally hitting the power switch.

No frills, simple, easy to use surge protector
For what it is, this Energizer 6 Device 3 Foot Power Surge Protector is a simple surge protector. With that said, it has a few minor features that are appreciated such as how the power cord was assembled. The plug itself is bent at an angle which creates a low profile plug instead of coming out straight when connected to the wall. And the plug is angled slightly when connected to a wall outlet, which helps to avoid blocking the second plug on the wall outlet. This low profile plug makes it easier to connect the surge protector to outlets that may be located behind a dresser, desk, or some other hard to reach place. The 3ft cord is just long enough to make it around those pieces of furniture so that you can plug in whatever you need power for.

Mediocre power strip with marginal surge protection
This Energizer surge protector power strip is a basic item without any interesting features. There are six outlets arranged vertically with standard spacing, which means wall warts (charger bricks) will block nearby outlets; effectively, only the outlet at the end could be used for a wall wart. The power strip is narrow and light-weight, so it might tip easily. The 3 foot round cord is thick but flexible, and the 3-prong flat-style plug angles to the left. There is a switch along the side: the “Reset” side must be depressed in order for the strip to provide power to the connected devices. The switch has a dim glow when it’s providing power. There is also a power indicator light on the top surface of the strip that is a bright red LED; the LED seems to be mediocre quality, because I can see it flicker under certain circumstances. I did not detect any high-pitched buzzing or whining sound from the power strip, but I was in a room with an air filter, so that background noise could have covered any electrical buzzing. The surge protection rating (300 Joules) is low compared to similar items (at similar prices) from other brands. Time will tell how well the white plastic hold up to sun exposure (the plastic could yellow if it isn't adequately UV-stabilized). Note that the item I received did not have any retail packaging, so it's not particularly giftable.Overall, this is an unimpressive power strip. It would be a better value if it came as a 2-pack at this price point ($9.99 at the time of my order). A better Joule rating, deliberate spacing for at least one wall wart, USB ports - these are all features of similarly priced items from other brands.

Can you really have enough power strips?
There isn't much to say about this power strip. It works and looks decent, so no complaints. This is certainly a good option to have around the house.

Not a lot of protection
As others have said, 300 joules is not really a ton of protection. However, the power strip feels like decent quality and that it will hold up. I do wish the plugs had different orientation or they were spaced apart to fit bigger power bricks. Cord could be a bit longer, but this seems pretty standard for a lot of power strips. It'll do the job of allowing me to plug in more devices, but I probably will unplug it if a storm comes or something as I don't trust it will actually protect much.

Good, basic power strip
This thing only has 300 joules of protection, so I wouldn't really count on it as a surge protector, but it's perfectly fine as a basic power strip. It has a flat plug that angles to the left so that it doesn't block the bottom outlet when you plug it into the top outlet. The outlets are oriented in the direction of the power strip, which means that bulky wall adapters will take up a lot of space on this one. It's really a basic no-frills power strip with the Energizer brand on it. I'll use this one to power lamps and other non-critical things. The pricing is ok, but you can definitely get something much better for a little extra money.
