The trains and other pieces aren't the most detailed and don't have magnets like most sets.They're a 2d outline with painted sides vs multiple pieces assembled for a realistic shape. But the kiddo loves anything trains.The tracks work great with our other wooden tracks... so this makes for a great expansion pack with some added scenery.

reasons why I only give this train game two stars. The first reason is because it comes with a paper that is not very strong, it looks strong, but it is not. Since it can break easily. The second reason why he took off another star is because when assembling the train, the bridge part is quite unstable To stay assembled, it is easily disassembled and it also has a flat part and it is not complete. I think there are missing pieces and the third and last reason is because the train cannot come together to travel the track together since it does not have magnets. I don’t recommend this train ramp.

Very flimsy and the cars barely fit on track and the train as well

This wooden train set is a great value that is, most importantly, compatible with our other different-brand wooden train set that we already had. Our 3 year old loves this wooden train set and the new people and sign accessories that come with it. A set like this is the creative toy that just never seems to get old and can even be passed down through generations, that I think every kid should have. This set serves as a great expansion to the set he already has, and also at a great value that does not cost too much. If I compare the two sets together the wooden track pieces are nearly identical and work together well, this set may just be a hair lower on the craftsmanship side of things being a tiny bit more rough and with the pieces not locking together as closely however that's really me being very picky, and once the pieces are mixed together I can't easily tell the difference anymore. The plastic mat this set comes with is nice as well, giving a great template to build from and adding more scenery to the overall set. My only real complaint is that the car pieces (and train pieces) do not link together to form a coupled train.
