great quality and looks amazing on my counter exactly what i wanted

I have a 1.5" red knee tarantula and this enclosure is secure/a good size for her. She's got plenty of room to grow out and the build quality is quite good. The top mesh portion pushes in to lock which is nice (not that I think a spider could push it open!). I previously had her in a full acrylic enclosure and I was having issues regulating the humidity - this design has more ventilation with the mesh top.I was skeptical that I'd use the little feeding flap but, yeah, I tossed a cricket through it and it was really convenient. It would be great if you have a species that heavily webs up the top. You wouldn't have to destroy their web with every feeding. The included water dish is glass and thick enough that I'm not worried about breaking it. The little hide is fine, it's appropriately sized for the enclosure and for a smaller spider but I didn't use it in the build. I have no use for reptile carpet in my home so that went straight into the bin - all it does is harbor bacteria and most animals benefit from being able to burrow.I'd say the price at the time of review ($38) is on the higher end but it is comparable to acrylic name brand tarantula enclosures. It's obviously more expensive than a plastic critter keeper or a standard sized aquarium but if you're looking to buy a bougie spider house it's certainly that.
