Q: How many hours does it take to assemble this kit not including finish for an average woodworker?

The hubby has done kits like this, without any finish in 2-3 hours. Most of that time went into polishing the frets, because everything else is quite easy to do..

Q: Hello, you said the neck profile on these kits is maybe a d. so what are the measurements at 1st fret and 12 fret? especially on tele.

Feels thin a bit high...maybe just a hint under an inch holding an e flat..less up near 12..15..a good sanding and it's a nice feel grip..as a sixties tele..not bad for the money..

Q: Where can i get a black faceplate for this?

I don't know of a precut pickguard that will fit this guitar. I made one for mine out of black three layer pickguard stock that I ordered from Amazon, as I did something completely different with the wiring on mine that didn't use the included Strat-style 5 way selector switch. It's not difficult, but I found that a Dremel-style tool melted the plastic, so I wouldn't suggest using one.
