Definite Upgrade from GO 3 – Best Speaker in This Price Range!
I've been using the JBL Go 3 for a long time and recently upgraded to the JBL Go 4 — and I can confidently say it's a solid upgrade in every way. The build quality is excellent, the design is sleek and vibrant, and the sound quality is top-notch for such a compact speaker.Bluetooth connectivity is solid, just as claimed by JBL. Even with a few walls in between, the connection remains stable within the expected range. It's a big plus if you don’t want to leave your phone in one spot and prefer to move around the house while the music keeps playing smoothly. The Playtime Boost feature does help extend the battery life, though it slightly compromises the sound quality — but nothing too noticeable unless you're a serious audiophile. Battery backup is decent and more than enough for casual use.I haven’t tested the waterproof claim personally, but the speaker is definitely dustproof, making it ideal for outdoor use.One of the standout upgrades is Auracast support — something the GO 3 lacked. It works flawlessly on the GO 4 and is tempting me to buy another unit just for the Auracast pairing! In conclusion, this is the best speaker in its price range, especially if you're upgrading from a previous model like the GO 3. Highly recommended!

Awesome buy !
It looks tiny, but it's amazing for music. It seems super sturdy and well-made. You can play for about 5 hours, and charging is pretty good too. Seriously, anyone who wants a portable speaker should get this.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!
I had high expectations from the JBL Go 4, mainly because the sound quality is awe-inspiring for its size—clear audio, decent bass, and loud enough for a small room. However, the overall experience has been very frustrating due to multiple issues. The main problem is with Bluetooth connectivity. After pairing, the speaker randomly stops playing audio, even though the music continues playing on my phone. I’ve had to disconnect and reconnect multiple times to make it work again.Another annoying issue: if I pause the music for a few minutes, the speaker automatically turns off, even though it’s still connected to my phone. This auto power-off feature is too aggressive and ruins the user experience. There’s no way to disable it.Tried everything — resetting the device, updating software, testing on multiple phones — but the problems persist.JBL needs to fix this with a firmware update. For now, I can’t recommend the Go 4 despite its good sound quality. It's just not reliable for daily use.
