Retrospec Harper Single Speed Fixie-Style Bike

I recently ordered a Retrospec Harper single speed bike. It was delivered. the next day with Amazon's amazing service. The bike was not damaged and no parts were missing. Reading reviews made me a bit concerned about these possibilities, but Retrospec did a good job of packing. They include a set of toolsto assemble the bike. I think the bike is a good value for $329. The frame looks good with nice welds.I always have to customize a bike because I am 6'3". I replaced the handlebar with a high rise that works for me. The seat is very hard but not sure yet If I will replace it. All in all a good bike for the price. I like the simplicity of a single speed and since my area is very flat, it does the job. This is a post script to my review.I started having flat tires on the rear wheel. It turned out to be a rough edge on a rim joint causing the flats. I was able to sand out the joint so it is OK now. This is a quality control issue and I will write to Retrospec Bikes about this.

The media could not be loaded. Looks great but scratched top tube... don't want the hassle of returning, but feel taken somehow.... maybe they'll contact me for a discount...

Haven’t been able to use the bike as it’s missing the handlebar stem bolt/stem quill needed to attach the handle bar to the bike frame. Have tried to reach out to Retrospec for help, will update one we’ve received an answer. Seems like this is a common issue, disappointed.

Very disappointed in the shipment of the item. The bike came with lots of parts missing. I had to take it to a local bike shop that helped me finish the set-up, and not surprisingly, they found more issues with the bike. I’m very disappointed in the quality. Going forward, I think it’s best to buy elsewhere for a quality bike and save some headaches

The bikes seat clamp didn’t come with hardware so I needed to strip some hardware off another bike, I noticed after assembly the disgustingly noticeable scrape on the side of the frame and proceeded to contact customer support.Retrospec customer support offered to give me a 15% refund if I agreed to keep the bike which I was delighted to hear, but only after finding out it was purchased on Amazon the went back on their offer and told me the best they could do is a free helmet… turns out they can’t ship to Canada so I’m basically outta luck.

it came well packaged and was easy to assemble. It does have a flip flop hub so you can ride fixed and single speed.Reasonably priced reasonably made. Great for a single speed commuter.
