Works great, cannot fault at all. Asus Zenbook i7 and windows 8.1.
If you don't know, Lindy make many it based products and have done so for many years. A reviewer marked the product down for it not being compatible with their iMac, which is clearly evident in the description. This device is ug and play, I wanted to record basically whatever is in my TV screen, so Skype calls, PSE,4 Xbox, wiiu etc etc... Easy peasy. I use an Asus Zenbook ux303ua, Intel i7, and open broadcaster. The quality of the capture is fab, indiscernible from the original in every way. So I more than happily rate this 5 stars.

Unable to change resolution
Very good usb capture device, unfortunately you are unable to change the resolution (not with the software I was using at least) - HyperHDR. It was probably overkill for my needs in a ambilight setup

Works with Panasonic G7 in Windows 10
I wanted to use my Lumix G7 as a webcam for Zoom and Skype. The Lindy adapter works a charm, just plug it in and away you go.The G7 HDMI output was set to 1080p 24fps, shutter speed at 1/50th and ISO at 200.Using OBS and the image quality is indistinguishable from video recorded on to the SD card.I also tested the audio lag by comparing the cameras audio (over HDMI) with my USB lav mic.Looking at the two waveforms in audacity there is less than 10ms difference.I certainly can't see any audio sync issues when recording or streaming. This means you could use a shotgun mic on top of the camera when using it as a webcam (vlogging style).I believe this will work with most cameras that have a clean HDMI output.I now have a webcam that blows the Logitech C920 away for not a huge amount of money.Very, very happy.

Not as described
Description claims it can capture in RGB 4:4:4 but this is not true. Its actually limited to yuy2.

Turns any HDMI camera into a webcam..ish
I'd like to say this is a better option than a webcam, but I don't know if i would and given the price difference not sure i'd opt for something like this again. The device is limited to 1080 so watch your camera settings, I'm pairing it with a Fuji XT-3 so have to dial back the resolution and bitrate. This also appears quite dependant on what capture software you are using, it works with windows 10 camera, zoom and teams (teams only on the web app - not desktop). Have issues using anything less that 1080 @60fps with the apps used.Cant fault the device, it does exactly what it should, but think there are better options!

It didnt work for me - but support were outstanding
So - this capture card came really highly recommended. Unfortunately for me - I had a really bad time with these cards. They refused (on 4 separate machines and a combination of laptops / desktops and macbooks) to capture any resolution other than 720x576 which is basically 4:3.The in-21 support guys were really on the ball and all credit to them - they sent me a second card out - but I experienced exactly the same issues with the second card as the first card. After hours of diagnostics and testing and re-installing windows on a pc as part of the testing and using multiple difference capture software - I'm baffled (and are Lindy and in-21) as to why I had so many problems with these cards.Major credit to the support guys - but for some reason - this card just would not play ball for me.

Good value for money
Delivery on time. The product works just fine with my Windows Laptop and OBS. I have also tested it with Skype (see pic). Output up to HD (no good for 4k) but that is stated in the description, so perfect for the need.

Maximum output resolution is 1280x720 - Probably not what you were expecting.
Maximum output resolution is 1280x720. Compression is MJPEG. No H.264.You will be disappointed (or maybe just send it back) if you were expecting 1920x1080 output. In case you're thinking that's a limitation of some software I'm using, it isn't. I read out the capabilities the device advertises as a USB Video Class device to check. From description: "High USB Bandwidth, enabling video capture up to 1080p@60Hz"That phrase is intended to suggest that 1080P60 output is possible (that's the point of the "High USB Bandwidth" phrase), without explicitly stating that 1080P60 output is possible. And the MJPEG compression is not great. H.264 or VP8 would be a lot better.

true usb 3, works out of box. worth the extra cost compared to cheaper grabbers
This lindy outputs only (up to?) 1080p, but could downsize my 4k15fps input (admittedly an edge case) without issues. Audio is also forwarded, automatically recognized as a microphone source. No admin access needed for install: very good for company laptops. Latency is good enough for office work / conf calls.Only point of attention is: in my case it wouldn't output lower than 1080p, which creates some strain when running conf calls on older computers. There is no option to set lower resolutions. It worked for me on webex, zoom and gotomeeting (via web) (didn't get to use the other conference call options yet).On one pc I had to reboot in case it got accidentally unplugged. On other pc I had less issues (both win 10). Overall very happy considering it delivers what I need. Before this I tried some grabbers that didn't work for me: the cheap $20 usb 2 stuff and even a more expensive Pengo. All had real issues that made them unusable for a web conference goal, e.g. very long latency on the cheap grabber. This Lindy however seems best driverless grabber so far.

An mehreren PCs getestet).
