Good product!
Got this on the beginning of my sourdough journey. Wanting some thing that was a little bit easier than a mason jar. Love the elastic band that helps you keep track of the days and times as well as the silicon scraper. The only thing I would add is wishing it was a little bit bigger, but other than that it!

nice to have a kit to get started
Of course, you can start sourdough starter without a kit but it's fun having the dedicated jar, the fitted cloth lid cover, and the small spatula. I followed the enclosed directions and had enough starter the next day for baking. There aren't directions for continuing to feed the starter but I used all of what was made in the first attempt anyway. Will give it another go with the intention of keeping a small amount to feed for more starter to have on hand.

Works so well
It was so easy to use this jar for my starter. Once I transferred it over into this jar, it was much easier to track and keep covered without dealing with the metal lids!

Too small
I should have returned this but I used it for something else anyway. I was just learning about sourdough, so this looked like I needed it.Actually, the 32oz bell jars work much better when your begin making your sourdough starter. The cloth cover is cheaply made and not needed . The spatula came in handy though. In retrospect I would not buy it for my needs.I do use the stretchy strap that you put on to see how your starter is rising . A rubber band would suffice, however.
