Bede and the Black Madonna is a remarkable memoir of one of the great mystics of our age. The author herself may also be one; her insights of the man who went to India to bring together two great spiritual traditions are deep and insightful. In 1992 Father Bede asked the author to continue his experience of the Black Madonna - an almost impossible ‘task’ as his own experience of the Black Madonna came via the medium of a stroke in 1990 which left him clinically dead for a week.It took the author thirty-two years to unfold her honouring of his task and we follow her, the author, from Australia, to India, through France and to England.
