The case isn't coming off, but as you can see in the photo it doesn't hug the phone it is apparently made for. But the user thinks it's great so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯If it was up to me I would have sent it back.Out of the package the outer edge texture is smooth, but not slick. The dark grey, but translucent back is nice, but a bit of a fingerprint magnet.

I love this phone protector! Texture is soft to touch, smooth, silky, yet hard, the slim design fits in my pockets, and fanny pack. The best phone protector I have purchased since I have had a cell phone. Personally I hate the big , bulky "armored tank" phone protectors. This is the perfect option for both protection profile.

Products look good quality but I will not use it because the edges are too soft, my impression phone will not survive a drop if it hits the edge.
