I give up.
Still have not found a thermostat that fits. I wish the seller or one of the previous purchasers would list a PART NUMBER Of a t stat that works. “ stock gm thermostat” is a worthless description. I’ll try one more t stat before I return this item. Appears to be well made , look like machined, not cast.Returning item after trying three different gm thermostats. As shown in picture, gm # 12632948 will not seal, nor would a mr. Gasket part. Obviously, based on this working for some, it depends on what water pump design you have. I can build a outlet in less time I have spent on this.

Worked for my application
I’m always skeptical with third party parts. Decided to give this a shot because I needed a 90 degree housing with the option of swiveling. First impressions were good. It’s an attractive product with very nice machining. I used this with my Holley LS midmount serpentine belt system in my 53 Chevy truck. Fitment was perfect and it also fit my OEM thermostat with integrated gasket. The thermostat fit very snuggly inside the T housing. Came with the appropriate length Allen head hardware. Haven’t run coolant through it yet, but I foresee no issues as of now.

Leaked
I purchased this housing for a 2000 ls1 5.7Bought a factory style thermostat as stated. Installed and it leaked. It appears the hole in the water pump for the thermostat is larger that the seal on the thermostat.I have been reading all over trying to understand why. I believe the early style water pumps have a bigger hole, 2 1/16 and the later style have a 1 7/8” could this be the problem??
