Been using this for about two weeks now and its pretty solid no complaints so far

I got this shinai on July 1. Today, it completely broke at the beginning of kendo class. The synthetic nakayui tie fell apart like paper. My sinsei couldn't believe it. Don't buy this shinai if you are taking a kendo class. It is only good for decoration or a costume. Buy a shinai with a genuine leather cap and tie.

Got this as a gift for my son who started practicing Kendo at a local dojo a few weeks back. He has been having a lot of fun.The bag is really convenient for my son to carry it to the dojo. The Kendo stick is lightweight but feels sturdy, as well as safe enough as long as he doens't smack something pretty hard.Would recommend to any parents who have children practicing Kendo.

I bought this product along with another set of 2 option for me and my buddy. We each wanted a nylon carry bag but the set of 2 option was more affordable, so we went for one of each. Now we each have a Shinai and a bag, with 1 Shinai to spare in case of breakage.It really comes with all of the things you really need to practice kendo. The nylon bag is light and durable. It comes with 2 straps: 1 shoulder strap and 1 for hand-carry. The shoulder strap size is adjustable.I now have my own Shinai that I can carry anywhere and practice my swings, which I hope will help step up my game.
