Great Product!
I got this for my new HP L2208W 22" Monitor, and couldnt be happier! While it's not the loudest speakers, they dont take any desk space at all, and work just fine. I was concerned at 1st that it might not fit my new Monitor, but it does fit just fine. I don't know the type of Monitor that the reviewer ahead of me has that said it didnt fit, but it sure fit my HP L2208W 22" Monitor just fine.

Does not fit. Awful sound.
Called to confirm that this speaker would fit on my HP Pavilion 27xw monitor and they said 'yes it will'. It does not fit, not even close; and the sound is terrible.

Acceptable
Acceptable but not perfect. Powers via USB, audio via traditional 3.5mm jack. Speakers get a little noise from the USB bus, the power isn't the cleanest. But they are fine for nothing heavy duty.

Decent overall, wonderful for the price
One thing to be aware of is that the speaker comes with two connectors, one USB and one mini-phone plug. You need to use *both*. Unlike my other speaker bars that appear as USB devices in your sound configuration, this speaker only uses the USB port for power, it gets the audio signal from your computer's headphone jack.As for the speaker system itself, it's pretty decent. It feels well-made. The sound is a bit thin, as would be expected from such small speakers. But for $15, they sound pretty darn good.

HP 2T Flat Panel Speaker Bar
Nice looking and streamlines well with my LCD.Sound is another matter, ok for computer - but really tinny when it comes to playing music. Not happy with it at all.

Very Glad I Bought This
I recently purchased a 20 inch HP monitor. I didn't want speakers on my desk and another A/C adapter to plug in. This attached to my monitor and it is powered by the USB port. Considering how small these speakers are the sound is great. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Meets expectations for an OEM speaker bar
I bought two of these for some old LP2465 24" monitors. It took me two trips to the hardware store, but I determined that the threaded holes in the back of my monitors are for M3 sized screws. Exactly none of HP's downloadable documentation tells you this. I got 20mm long ones and didn't have any trouble mounting the speakers. Your monitor may be different, but that might be a good starting point if you're scratching your head. The units contain a USB power cord which plugs into the USB port in the back of the monitor, and a standard analog stereo mini-jack, color coded to match the sockets in the back of most PC's. The sound from the speakers is, "meh," but my expectations were low for an OEM speaker bar. It's sufficient for most things, and I have a wireless headset for gaming.
