Guidebook for Marines 20th Edition

I own the 1967 version of the Guidebook for Marines. Some of the same pictures and material from the '67 version is in this version as well, right down to the exact same words.The '67 version included many more weapons in much more detail (81 mm Mortar, 60mm Mortar, the Bayonet, and Flamethrower, the M1, M14, and M16 rifles, for example).When you read this version, it's easy to see where parts are left intentionally vague to be easily updated to a newer version.Still a neat book.

if you want to learn what marines get taught, this is an interesting book. This is the actual guidebook t hey get issued during training, includes lots of interesting details on weapons and so on. So y ou need to know just where to scrape the carbon and lube your M240 machine gun, well who doesn't? This is the book for you. Talks about greandes and explosives and other cool stuff, unfortunately a lot of not so cool like drill, wearing the uniform and other stuff civilians can do without. Well you can just skip all that because thsi book has lots of info for the armchair Marine - my third copy and the most recent i've seen.

Love this book. It's exactly what I was looking for.

Great book, a bit different from my older version. It came pretty beat up, but all my old marine books are pretty beat up so not a big deal for me. No marks, rips, or pages missing. Still looks like better quality than some of the brand new books I've bought on Amazon. Overall, definitely worth it. Highly recommend.
