So Slow
I bought this TV due to the reviews in various magazines and indeed the picture and sound are good. Also Sony has updated the firmware to allow Dolby HDR - so far so good. BUT the Android operating system is SO SLOW, it ruins the TV. I emailed Sony asking if there was a way to speed up the operating system and they replied:"The Android OS genuinely offers a lot more than a normal television does, from catch up services to internet streaming applications. It is understandably larger and has a wider variety of functions and features. Accordingly, it's a much bigger and heavier operating system overall. When being compared to a normal television, it will seem slower, but at the same time, normal TVs don't offer half of what the Android OS includes."Most of the time, I suspect, people just want to switch on their TV and watch it, simply and quickly- that does not happen with Android. Also, I have a couple of other negative points:* wall mounting is problematic as the power cable is fixed and cannot be changed/lengthened - so an extension cable (!) might be needed.* although it has two tuners and a HDD can be attached to record programs, live TV cannot be paused. (maybe Oreo will allow this).* switching on an external box (like a DVD player) will switch on the TV but only to last last used input (ie not necessarily the DVD player).I would avoid buying this TV until we can see if the (promised) future upgrade from Nougat (v7) to Oreo (v8) Android improves things (although internet reviews of Oreo are not hopefull).

Great picture and now with updated interface (Android Oreo)
This TV has a fantastic picture, good but bass light sound. As the other reviews mentioned, the user interface was slow until the latest update (Jan 2019).Sony are now rolling out Android Oreo 8.0 and the difference it has made is remarkable. It's fixed some issues with Dolby vision and Netflix but the improvement to the speed and usability of the interface are great, very happy owner now. If the reported weakness with Android were putting you off, Oreo is a solid step in the right direction.

Very slow user interface
Android TV OS is really slow. There is a physical delay after pressing a button and the TV responding, even with the volume. I have put the TV into developer mode and then limited the apps running in the background to 2 and it still hasn't really speeded the interface up.Also I picked this TV as it comes with a 5 year guarantee but what they don't tell you is it's really difficult to register for the guarantee, there are lots of forums complaining about it. I still haven't managed to register mine!
