Order one size larger than you usually do and you'll have a great pair of shorts!
These shorts are awesome. They are a thick, durable, yet comfortable material (what I was looking for). Based on other reviews, I ordered a size larger than I usually do (I'm an athletic 6'1", 200lbs who usually wears large but ordered XL in these) and they fit perfectly. That's why I listed the size as "somewhat small", but the XL fit me perfectly. So order a size larger like most everyone is recommending and you'll be set.Oh, and there was some concern in other reviews about the pockets? Maybe this was from people who were getting a smaller size than they hoped, but the pockets seem perfect to me. Just order one size larger than you usually do and you'll love these shorts!

great fit
I'm 5'9", 180lbs, muscular build, 31" waist. The small size fit perfect. When standing straight the bottom of shorts reaches to about 2.5" above superior border of patella (top of knee cap). The general look is way better than regular 9" shorts. Makes you look more fit, lets your vastus medialis (medial thigh muscle above knee) and vastus lateralis (lateral thigh muscle) pop out and say hi. I'll be buying another set of 2 soon. Now I can get rid of my bball shorts that look stupid on me, feel like i'm wearing a damn skirt with those things.

They're just ok
I am 5'11"/175lbs with a 31 inch waist and 23 inch thighs. The medium fits about right. They look good enough and they don't cost too much, so those are the good parts.I could do without the mesh lining... I see what they are trying to do, I have had running shorts that have that kind of lining so you don't have to wear underwear to prevent your junk from falling out when you put your foot up on a bench to tie your shoe or sit on the floor to stretch. The leg openings in the mesh are too large (and I don't have skinny legs) to keep the junk where it belongs, so you have to wear underwear anyway and the liner is just needless material. The pockets are just bags and they aren't attached to the inside of the shorts other than at the pocket opening, so if you try to run with keys or a phone in your pocket, they will be swinging all over the place along with your unsupported junk. Also... No tumble dry? WTF I exercise 6 days/week so I'll constantly have non-dryable clothes hanging all over my house. These aren't so bad that I can't bear to use them for while, but when I inevitably ruin them by forgetting to pick them out of the washer before transferring a load to the dryer, I doubt I'll be buying another pair to replace them

2XL fit fine for waist 42, pockets just fine.
I wear waist 42 jeans and I'm 5' 10". The waist fit fine for the 2xl. They're a little on the short side however, making the use of some gym equipment awkward but I just wear compression shorts under them.People complained about the pockets but they're fine. I have a Galaxy Note 8, a very large phone, and it fits in the pocket. The pocket can get twisted up and things can slide out but both of those happen with most gym shorts due to the material and looseness of the style.

nice shorts but I am a waist 36 and the ...
nice shorts but I am a waist 36 and the XXL are to small. I had ordered the XL at first but they were so tight it hurt, so I thought maybe XXL would be better but they are even still to tight. Cant really return them as I have already worn them. I had foot surgery 6 weeks ago and was a waist 36 at the time but have lost a lot of weight and they are still tight.

Pretty good
They fit as expected! My husband is 6” and 155lbs, we got the medium. They are thin, kind of feel like a cheap quality. I’m hoping the don’t rip easy. He says they’re pretty comfortable though :)

Good fit and price you can afford
Love this shorts, I'm a short guy at 5'5" weighing at 151 and this shorts fits me well. It comes right above my knees and the waist band is on my hips. I also like that it has the underwear insert in it keeping my boxers from popping out through the legs when I'm working out. If it's anything like their shirts, then will be a happy man.

Good Running Shorts
Fits well and are very comfortable. Not sure what is the purpose of the semi "underwear" inside (not sure what is called). The pockets are small and the fabric is soft so, when you are running with keys or a wallet inside the pockets, it bounces up and down which is annoying. Also, they are kinda smaller in length than regular shorts. My regular size shorts are usually below my knees but these shorts are about 2 inches over my knees.I just wish companies that design these shorts, would make good pockets for running that would prevent objects inside from bouncing up and down.
