It works fine, you just need to take your time assembling it
I have always wanted an electrically operated curtain track, but the prices have always put me off. This model is about 1/3rd the price of the market leader, so my thought was buy one and see how good it is. I put off the decision for a while because of the comments made about the instructions. They are no way up to the standard of say Ikea or many of the other products I purchase. For instance it just says in effect put the brackets up, not explaining how they get bolted together to hold the curtain rail. However mine went up without a hitch and I purchased the timer too and that works very well. You do need to have a good understanding of either DIY or engineering to work out how it all goes together. Given the first job almost is to cut the curtain rail to length, it starts from a nerve racking position. The instructions don't say how to measure the length, so you guess. In my case I had a spare 1 metre length, so I knew I could have a second go. Fortunately I got it right first time. A previous reviewer said get it working on the floor and this is good advice, but I didn't put the motor on at this stage, only when the track was complete and in situ.Setting the tension of the wires is a bit nerve wracking but once you understand the principle of how the curtains stop it is easy to work out whether you have it tight enough or not.It took me about 3-4 hours to erect and get operating, much of this time is putting the brackets up on the wall, and constantly referring to the instructions to confirm I am doing it right. The timer is simple, but has a quaint way of being programmed and so I had a couple of false starts with that, but when I came down in the morning it had done the job of opening them at the right time.I plan to purchase at least another one of these, if not two and I will still be making a saving on the market leader in this field. Looking closely at their product it is not too vastly different in design, just maybe the build quality (and instructions) are better. Certainly I am glad I took the plunge and bought this product, I hope you have similar success when you purchase them.

Tricky to install, but fabulous!
I love this and am considering getting more for other windows now. The instructions are, as said elsewhere, pretty hideous, even the better later ones you can download, but if you work your way through methodically, with no particular DIY skills, we got there - took about 8 hours in total though, including going back to the beginning once because we hadn't put the 'carriers', ie curtain hooks, onto the rail before tensioning. And the remote control had the wrong battery in it so didn't work until we changed that. Once working, though, it is amazing and just what I wanted. Opens and shuts by remote control or on the separate timer if you're going on holiday. The timer itself was super-flexible and took seconds to set up. My window stretched from side wall to side wall and I was a bit concerned there would be a curtain-less gap at one end, but not at all (although leave at least 2cm gap on the motor side when measuring). Would definitely buy again.

Works well - once you fathom out the instructions
I bought the 3m track which comes as 3 x 1m sections. There is one set of written instructions not written in very good English, one set of picture instructions on line plus a video on line. There are discrepancies between each set of instructions but with a bit of perseverance, you end up with the correct set up.The key is to success is getting a good tension of the wires inside the track. This tension holds the track sections together but I found it better to lightly glue the track joining sleeves as well. The video shows the track being installed above the window before joining the sections - I would not recommend this as you would not then be able to set the wire tension sufficiently. I made the whole track up on the floor and tested the operation before going near the window. The rail can be hung right to left and vice versa to be nearest your power point. I also bought the Timer so that the curtains can be opened and closed when I am away. At the moment, this timer just hangs down from the main control box on its own wire. I need to make something to secure the timer at one end of the window.Overall, once fittted and working the Electric Curtain track is good and I am happy with it. I offer the above comments to assist other potential purchasers.

Smart easy setup power curtins !!!
I love my new smart power curtins 😍 They came well packed and 3 days early so that was a bonus ! When I opened the box I was thinking there was alot of parts & it was going tobe hard to put it all together but with the instructions that came in the box & the help of the online ( youtube ) video that the seller links to it couldn't of been easier 👌 it took me about 30 mins to put everything together & another 20 mins to wall mount the rails ( it came with both ceiling & wall brackets ) but i wasn't sure when I first looked in the box so I contacted the seller ( HC Smart Home Online ) & they replied within minutes confirming everything came in the box for the setup I had ordered 👍 It was very easy to pair the remote, I just had to remove the cover & push the button on the back & press the button on the motor, then a little red light on the motor flashed to show it was paired. I highly recommend this seller HC Smart Home Online for great communication for this product & this products very good quality!!! 100% recommended easy to use & easy to set up smart curtins. Thanks again to HC Smart Home Online for replying to my emails so fast & for your help with my smart curtins ☺ 👍👍👍

Beware.
Totally inadequate installation instructions have resulted in this track remaining unusable for nearly 12 months , despite building a test rig. Finally up and running , but without the timer. Once this was fitted--having studied the instructions thoroughly--the system worked for three opening/closing cycles then the tension went awry and curtains started jamming halfway. After spending literally hours adjusting I have resorted to pulling the curtains together by hand. If I spend any more time trying to fix the damned thing , my wife will divorce me. If the supplier reads this perhaps they will suggest a fix.
