I love this series in general. I give the books on specific subjects to friends and family member foodies. This one on Corn does not disappoint--interesting, succinct, and well-written for a general audience.

I had been hoping for a more scholarly study of the cultural history of corn than this book provides. It really is only an appetiser not a main course
