I bought this for a lake trip, and it was such a good buy! I like how it comes with a little bag to put the blanket away.

We love this beach mat as an added accessory for our sandy days. This is perfect for keeping our toddler out of the heat and was very easy to use, it even came with some sand stakes!

This blanket is bigger than expected, which was a nice surprise! It has worked very well at the park (on grass) for my kickball team to sit and hangout! It has loops and stakes to stake it into the ground. The material is thin and slick so moisture dries up very quickly. Dirt and sand will wipe off easily as well. It is a bit thin, which makes me wonder if you will feel it when you place this mat on piping hot sand. I am about to test this out in Hawaii so I will update this review if I get burned by the sand!

I got this for our first beach trip of the season. I had envisioned the ease with carrying and putting the blanket out to sit on, which was true, but there's some drawbacks. I got the sea turtle design and it's colorful and pretty.The pros:- The blanket is sturdy, colorful, and easily visible from afar so you can find your "spot" on the beach again. The material is made from polyester, so it's soft and slick, but thin like a women's neck scarf or something.- The blanket is super light and comes in a small drawstring bag. Together it's about as light as carrying a pair of flip-flops. The included carabiner allows you to hook it onto some other beach item you're lugging out there too.- There are 4 sturdy plastic stakes to anchor the four corners of the blanket, and they're long enough to keep it in place. There's also pockets underneath each corner of the blanket for sand if you don't want to use stakes, but frankly, it's much easier to use the stakes. If you had small children running around though, it may be safer to use the sand in the pockets.- Sand doesn't stick to the blanket and just slides off when picked up. It's so thin that any moisture will dry off quickly as well. It's easy to fold and stuff the blanket back into the tote bag, but you may have to refold later if it's windy because of the slickness of the material.The cons:- The blanket is quite thin. It would be nice if it were about double the thickness because you can feel the coolness of the sand coming through. For us, since it was early in the season, the sand wasn't piping hot like it would be in summer, so it was slightly uncomfortable.- You'll need to clear any seashells or other pointy stuff away before laying it down because you'll feel them through the blanket as if you were laying on it directly.Overall, the blanket is super light and easy to tote around. It would be great for camping, picnics, or the beach. My only complaint is the thickness could be a little better.

Great for the beach! Easy to set up (minus the wind, but that's a problem regardless) and clean up. Shakes sand off easily. Exactly as pictured/described. Enough room for at least two adults and a couple kids.

I ordered the sea turtle version of this Beach Blanket. It is also a versatile outdoor blanket for picnics and other such events. I also have a picnic blanket that is pretty much used daily because my daughter and her in-home ABA therapist use it outdoors in our front yard to enjoy nature, etc., during her therapy sessions. I haven't pulled this blanket out for that yet, but it would work just as well. We haven't been to the beach since I ordered this, but we have a trip planned in June to the beach that I ordered it for. One concern I do have is whether or not the heat from the sand is going to go right through this and be uncomfortable since it is so thin. I do love the stakes, as well. I ordered a very simple outdoor awning suitable for the beach to go with this, and I expect it will all go well and work quite nicely for us.

This mat is very light and brightly-colored. It rolls up nicely into a handy carry bag to easily fit into a larger beach bag. I agree with the sizing of "2-4 adults," though I think I would say 3 maximum if everyone is laying on the mat and doesn't want to feel cramped.The material is thin (it feels sort of like parachute material), but seems like it will do a good job of keeping the sand from getting everywhere. Each of the corners has a pocket on the underside that could be used to contain weights (small rocks or handfuls of sand, for example) to keep the mat from blowing away in the wind. Alternatively, there are loops at each corner and a set of 4 plastic stakes that could be pushed into more tightly-packed sand to achieve the same result.I can also see using this at a park on the grass to stake out a spot for a picnic since the weave is very tight, I don't think insects would get through it easily.
