I spent many hours playing the computer version of this popular Civilization-style game. After a mad rush to populate an island capable of sustaining growth one builds a civilization in the usual resource-driven way. If you've played Civ in any of its incarnations or the popular city building games like Caesar III and SimCity then you already know what's expected of you. Reducing that real-time experience to a turn-based board game took some doing but it seems to work. A similar scramble for an island and its resources leads to a clever game experience. You acquire resources and grow your island. Each game lasts about an hour or so. Its fun but the learning curve is moderately steep if you've never played anything like it. But if you like these kind of games you'll like this one.Mike Birman

didnt get disc of game which i thought i was ordering

Not one of Mayfair's best games. Not sure if I would have bought it after having played a couple times. Gets a little boring after awhile :/

Fun fun fun. This game was just a lot of fun to play plain and simple lots of replay value and a good looking game with quality pieces.

Great worker placement game. Tends to be forgotten with all the new stuff. But it holds up well.

This game is really fun to get to know, but I feel like I have THE perfect strategy to this game which has helped me win every game. I like how much detail there is to the game, but this is also one of its weaknesses: There is not much wiggle room for strategy.But it is a great game to play twice a year-ish.
