Works like I needed. I gave it four stars only because of the cost. I feel like this should be included with the ems from the start.Makes figuring out faults a breeze. I hesitated to buy it but I got sick of pulling apart the couch to see what fault lights were on the ems.Also really nice to see how many amps are being pulled when using things like the a/c and tv. Helps to figure out what can be run if we end up on a 20amp circuit at the campgrounds.Even though it is expensive I would say it is necessary to get the full functionality of the ems unit.

It shows the voltage and current being drawn by the RV. It also shows error codes if there is a problem, so keep the instructions.It comes with a 50 foot cord, way too long for my installation but any rj11 straight cable will work.The slide/toggle switch shown in the listing has been replaced with buttons, an arrangement that seems to make sense.

The Surge Guard remote digital display is easy to mount (four screws) and connect to the Surge Guard EMS. It's plug and play with enough supplied cable to place the display 50' away from the EMS unit. Your biggest problem will be deciding where to hid the other 40' of cable you don't use. The display is easy to read and toggle through the different message groups. I like being able to monitor the voltage and current as different appliances are being used especially if you're running off a generator and need to do some power management.

This product has software issues, never worked, contacted company and representative had me buy a new cable which did not help. Never answered another email after that, pretty much told me too bad. Stay away.

My Surge Protector was behind a screwed in panel inn the kitchen of my 2022 Keystone Passport making it useless to see the indicator LEDs so I decided to add this display. I had a perfect spot for it right next to electrical panel so out cane the Dremel tool to make a hole. I love having it visible now so I can check levels so as much as I hated too spend the money, it really is necessary

Bought this for use with a 50 AMP unit, Paid to have it installed, only 1 leg provided power, the other was dead.DEAD (SurgeGuard Protector) out of the box New, Dead On Arrival, then had to pay to have it removed!!!Then come to find out If it ever did work correctly, and took/protected you from a surge you have to replace the entire unit, and this is hard wired in place no way to bypass.Spend your money elseware - dont forget you get what you pay for, cheaper gets you what I got, Junk.

First campground we used the pedestal had an Open Ground. Could have caused problems....I'm very happy with the performance and the ease of install.

Works as described. Lets you monitor things.

great unit for reading power consumption. nessary if your running a floatung nutral generator. the protector wont work and u cannot see why unless this unit is installed. a option to reset the nutral or hot switch would help. but msimly its great as a tool to build your guidelines for solar or wind generation and battery storage
