VasqueMen's Breeze Waterproof Hiking Boot, Java (P), 9 Medium

This is my second pair of Vasque hiking boots. Just like the previous pair, (which I'm only replacing because I wore them out) these boots are very comfortable and protect my feet while walking and hiking. I used to get blisters when wearing other brands of walking shoes but have never had a problem while hiking about 5 miles/day wearing Vasque boots.

I had some Vasque boots from like a decade ago. They have held up well, but they were always a bit too small. I ordered about 1 size up from normal this time and now they fit really well. Good ankle support and they are much lighter than I was expecting, which is nice. One star off because the lace loops (hooks) on the upper part are pretty sharp and very "grabby" so you have to be very deliberate with lacing them. Either you'll end up scratching yourself or the lace will slide off. I have had boots in the past where these loops were made out of polished metal and they were much easier to quickly lace. Other than that, these seem like they will last a long time.

The soles look cheap. They’re constructed well and fit good but every time I look at the soles it reminds me of something from a cheap department store not $160 boots.🥾
