Must buy, unique
The book is an experience of a sailor couple that will take you out on the ocean and up in the sky and on to terra firma, that is everywhere. The readers experience some humorous, some terrifying and some tragic stories. All the stories walk out of the sphere of life and make a good learning path for the young readers. This book is a compilation of all the exciting experiences of Prasad and Shubhada and their daughter have had in their lives.Every story has a thoughtful titles and a QR along with it. We can scan the QR and learn more about the story in the book. It is a very thoughtful gesture by the author to give a life to the characters and the story by which the readers can feel more connected. I personally enjoyed reading and watching every story as if it were real.We have the real life Popeye and Olive in the story. I enjoyed the stories Love of the Drop and She Wants Us To Wait the most. All the stories are written a lucid language and I precise and complete on their own. After reading every story I found a sense of fulfillment and belonging to the characters. I have always loved reading the stories which have some magical and tragic tint. This book is quite special and I will preserve it for life. Each episode is completely independent of the others and the book can be read in bits and parts as time permits, making it easier to read than conventional books that have one storyline from start to finish. It is highly recommended if you are willing to take your child into the world of entertainment and adventure. It's a rare variety book

A Witty, Well-Written, Heartwarming Memoir of an Ex-Sailor Couple! LOVE!
4.5 stars! We Are the Quarry, Fate is the Hunter is a collection of 25 anecdotes from Prasad and Shubhada Godbole, an ex-sailor couple who have travelled the world and seen so much of what it has to offer. They have captured many of their experiences, be it the scary experiences at sea, joyous, exciting ones, wacky ones, and ones that brought tears to my eyes because of how heartfelt they were. These cross over to Prasad’s career change from being a marine engineer to teaching students to be marine engineers to Shubhada’s printing business to them watching their daughter Punav grow up and become someone in her own right – it’s a whole experience, this book. What I LOVED About It:- The writing feels homely and warm.- It’s a peek into Prasad’s life as a marine engineer and the perks and the dangers that came with the job. Shubhada talks about some of her own life and work experiences, with an equal amount of panache if not more.- There aren’t many people who are absolutely in love with their jobs, but Prasad and Shubhada LOVE whatever they did and do. It is evident in the way they talk about it.- The QR codes that are scattered throughout the book that link to images and videos that complement the narration of the stories so well.- I love that the chapters can be read in any order and even with a time gap between reading them, you will have the full experience.- The words of wisdom and the witty excerpts that are just minuscule parts of the brilliance that is in here. And to be honest, there is nothing that I didn’t like about it, and that hasn’t happened in a while. So what I’m saying is: I absolutely ADORE this book and I would highly, highly recommend you to pick it up. It is SO GOOD!
