Fabulous set of knives and astonishingly good value.
This is my second set (first set art deco colours) as I love them so much. They are amazing value, best peeler of all time, the serrated blade cuts through anything. Two sets on my magnetic strip beside the cooker as they are both incredibly useful AND beautiful. Everyone needs a set of these knives in their kitchen, you will end up using nothing but them in no time (its why I need two sets!).

A sharp knife makes a safe knife
Superb set of knives which I have been using on a daily basis.Every one of the knives are very sharp and lightweight due to the wooden handles. They clean easily and haven't stained thus far, nor have we had the need to sharpen them yet.The Peeler is fantastic to use and takes away the mundane task of peeling vegs a quick process with thin peels and can be utilised with both hands.Sprouts and the irk is no match for the curved vegetable knife.Overall very impressed, so much so bought my immediate family a set each.

Sharp metal
This set will cover a big chunk of fruit and veg preparation jobs in the kitchen. The blades are very sharp which is the norm for anything with Opinel written on it. If you have every had to cut tomatos and ended up with a squashed mess you will be very happy when you try the tomato knife. The paring knife with the curved blade is just what you need for turning veg, pont neuf potato's and so on it also has a ridged area on the back of the blade that can be used for scraping the skins off new potato's.

Disappointed
The second time of using the vegetable peeler the metal blade snapped from the handle. Not the quality expected from Optinel.

Worth it
Very sharp, Opinel are very good for the money.

Good thin blades.
Nice knives. 2 of them had a burr on the blade, which was easily removed. QA seems to be quite poor with this brand, but the materials are good.

Old fashioned French quality.
These guys have been making knives for a long time and it shows. They are VERY sharp, and they are very useful. I have never used a curved parer before, but now I use it constantly for peeling. My wife likes the peeler for potatoes. The serrated knife is wonderful for tomatoes. You can apparently put them in the dishwasher, but we don't. The handles suit smaller hands.
