2 Ton Hand Winch Puller Boat Trailer or Car TD025

It seems to be a decent quality item for the price. I paid a bit more for mine, but I bought it direct from Tooltime UK Ltd who are also an eBay seller. Unfortunately though, no instructions were included in the box and I couldn't work out how to release the ratchet. I ended up having to take the thing apart to pull out the cable and when I re-assembled it, I couldn't remember how the stop pawl spring was positioned. Silly me !I contacted Toolzone by email requesting assistance and rather strangely, they replied saying that the manufacturer should have included instructions inside the box ?!!! (I thought that Toolzone WAS the manufacturer).At least they did include a copy of the operating instructions with their email reply, but they're not much use to me because there isn't enough detail in the various diagrams to show how the stop pawl spring should be positioned, so I'm unable to get the cable puller to work properly now that I've re-assembled it.I've messaged Tooltime UK Ltd to ask if they will replace the item if I return it to them, but I probably won't bother unless they also agree to re-imburse me for the postage (which could be uneconomical for such a heavy item). I expect that they'll probably say that it's not their fault that the manufacturer didn't include operating instructions, so I'm not holding out much hope of a satisfactory outcome.Anyhow, I'm posting this for the benefit of anyone else who buys one of these and does not receive operating instructions.If you contact [email protected], they should email them to you.I'll update this when/if I get a reply to my eBay message from Tooltime UK Ltd.
