I have looked at a lot of backup software, Even tried Windows backup(what a joke) because it was part of the operating system.What I have found is NTI Backup Now EZ, so far, is easy to setup and use. It does the job for what I need.There are multiple choices on backup, Disk Image, File, Cloud service.What is nice about NTI is you can schedule backups or just have each disabled and backup when you want.Screens are easy to read and understand.

I bought this to replace NTI Shadow that hasn't been updated in years and performs poorly with the latest Windows 10. The two features that made Shadow a perfect fit for me was non compressed backups (so I could find and restore individual files easily) and the shadow backup. After the first backup, subsequent backups added new files and deleted files that were deleted on the computer. I assumed (my mistake) that Backup Now would be similar. It can backup as non-compressed files (it's an option), but it does not ever delete any files that were backed up but later deleted on the PC. That limits the usefulness. If I ever needed a backup, there would be a large number of files that have long been deleted on the PC. It's a bit inconvenient, but I do have a workaround. I have two external backup devices and I alternate doing a full backup on one then the other. Before starting a backup I format the device to get rid of the previous backup. Clumsy but I need my backups to be the latest set of files. Backup Now was easy to install and simple to use. It is excellent for what it is.

Unless you have your IT guy on speed-dial, I wouldn't recommend this product. Before I could even attempt a back-up when I registered the software - in a flash, it took my computer back to factory defaults losing all my folders. Luckily, I DO hive my IT guy on speed-dial and he was able to restore my folders and files. But I had tried everything I knew and nothing worked. One reviewer said this thing removed his operating system. I didn't believe it, but NOW I do. It didn't take my OS but it did remove all my desktop folders. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Having problems in setting up and then verifying that what I wanted backed up was in fact backed up. I registered the product as requested. No live help. Only email. Sent two emails and have not received a reply. I would not have bought the product had I known this.

Pros - came in a nice case.Cons - Will backup folders but not perform a full system backup. Tried 5 times and each time it would get about 10% done and fail with just the word "Error". Contacted support and was told to simply run Check disk and it will fix it. First off, I work as a system admin for a major corp. and that is ridiculous advice. To humor them I ran Check Disk. When finished I tried to launch NTI Backup Now EZ 6 and it said the installation was now bad. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and the software will no longer even launch. A complete waste of money. Do Yourself a favor and stay far away from this software. The product and support are the worst!I downloaded a free version of Aomei backupper and it runs great and has far more features than this does. Just food for thought, there are others as well.

Sure it backed up all my info but it wiped out my operating system, I lost Windows 7 off it.

I purchased software and tried a backup of my 512GB drive with 250 GB on it. After 48 hours it said “backup error.” I tried it again with same results. Wrote to their “technical support” (no identifying name given) who answered with cryptic comments and answered my questions with “follow instructions.” It was a horrible experience and I just uninstalled the program. Anything is better than this program and the rude support.

I have been using this for months thinking I was covered. When my hard drive died and it came time to restore the software said nope - file descriptor error - can't restore drive. It could not read the backup file off my USB drive even though it could see it. USELESS JUNK.
