I really enjoyed this film. I would highly recommend.

An excellent 1st hand account interviewing those that flew these bombers…how they dealt with the horror of flight after flight some as young as 18 yrs old is mind boggling…the greatest generation

Kids enjoyed reading the book. Said it had a great story line.

There's a very interesting sidelight on this film. The photo you see recreated on the container is of the crew of Lancaster ED825, coded AJ-T, of 617 Squadron, RAF, known to history as 'the Dambusters'. The flyers in that picture were all original members of 617squadron and all flew that particular operation. Their pilot and 'skipper' on that mission, Flight Lieutenant Joe McCarthy, was the only American to fly it. His bomb aimer (left rear in the photo) Flight Sergeant George 'Johnny' Johnson was the last living survivor of that raid when he passed last November at age 101. 617 Squadron remains an operational RAF unit, and the historic mission is still honored by the Brits today/

This re-enactment was spot on. I am not a military man but having served as a firefighter for 25 years, I really get this movie. Well done!

This sobering and skillfully told documentary highlights the moral ambiguity of the war in general and Bomber Command in particular.

My brother is a history buff, especially WWII. He was impressed by this film on the Lancaster and recommends it.

Great Film

This is a documentary I have been waiting for since I found out it was being made. I loved the Spitfire documentary. I got the Blu-Ray version so that everything is crisp and the sound of those Merlin engines would sound incredible. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! Incredible film and I take my hat off to the makers. If you are someone who is into warbirds this is a film for you!

As soon as I saw this film was by the same people who made the film on the Spitfire I ordered this film on the Lancaster immediately!! What a fantastic tribute to an incredible aircraft and the even more amazing men and women who flew her during WWII.The cinematography and restored film clips are breathtaking, along with interviews with the crews that flew her into battle. A must have for any aviation fan…I absolutely loved this Documentary. If you live in North America you’ll need a Region Free Player.
