MerrellWomen's Sandspur Rose Leather Sandal

I have purchased Merrell sandals in the past and was very satisfied with the fit and quality. These did not disappoint! They fit very well - not too tight across the vamp, ankle or toes and did not flop around when walking. I am a true size 8 and they fit very well. I didn't have to break them in at all. I also bought the dark brown color. These will be my go-to casual sandals. Would definitely buy again. Oh, and they're really cute!

Super comfortable, fit true to size for me (size 11), and although I consider these athletic sandals, I appreciate that they don't look quite as sporty as my other athletic sandals.I bought these specifically for a trip where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking. I only gave these a couple quick trial walks around my neighborhood before the trip, but they easily carried me through 10-15 mile days on a range of surfaces (concrete, cobblestone, uneven dirt) without any pain, rubbing, etc.Pros: lightweight (especially compared to my Chacos), no rubbing/chafing from the straps, super comfortable footbed, good traction even on wet surfaces, no issues with the ankle irritation (the vertical strap that rises up below the outer ankle and connects to the back strap has notoriously been an area on other sandals that will cut into my ankle).Cons: limited adjustment - there is only one strap with velcro to adjust the fit, and I personally would love to make the straps that cross over my toe area a bit tighter.

Weighing in on the "extra space in the front" issue that I've seen on other reviews. I wear and bought size 11.I have wide feet with long toes, and they fit really well. If you have narrow feet or short toes these would likely leave the extra space you see in other photos. They're comfortable and wonderful sandals. I bought a second pair.

I tried 6 or 7 pairs of leather walking sandals to replace some older ones, and this is the best option I found. I mostly struggled with straps digging into my bunions. The design of the sandal avoids that issue, but the straps themselves are not the most comfortable in other places on my foot. I used moleskin cloth to put on the underside of the straps which helped. The hardest thing about buying shoes (in my opinion) is that it's impossible to judge how the shoes will feel without actually wearing them on a walk, and at that point, of course, they're non-returnable. If I could, I would return them now and try another pair, but the sole is already dirty. Speaking of that, the sole has a nice tread and other than the strap issue they are comfortable for walking. The only other thing I don't love about them is that not all the straps are adjustable. I feel like I'm talking myself out of a 4-star review. They're fairly cute and I think will be fine, but I had to add a lot of padding for them to be wearable.

Nice quality leather sandals. Many of the reviews mentioned that they felt the sandals ran large. This really made me question the size to order. For me... these sandals fit TTS and I ordered my regular sz 9. Glad I went with my gut on this. I have not had the chance to wear them long term but so far I think they are fine and comfortable.

I cannot complement these shoes enough! I just got back from 10 days in Portugal and these shoes were perfect, right out of the box!

I am a solid 7 in most sandals & definitely in Merrells but these are too long. Note that some colors in this listing are different styles. I got the one called "Sandspur Rose Convert" in Granite. They fit my arch perfect, so, I don't think a smaller size will work. These are leather, unlike some styles that reviewers are saying are not.

I have been looking for these sandals for a while. I have an older pair which actually never wore out. They are about 12 years old. But, my old sandals had gotten dirty on the inside. I wasn't sure how to clean them because of the leather. But, someone stated in the reviews that she hosed them off.. Now that I have a new pair I think I will try this. I have neuropathy in my feet from a bad back and these are the most comfortable sandals that I could find. I wear them everywhere.
