I have been teaching first grade for 25 years and have been searching for books my students could read as they learned the code. I purchased this set to give it a try in my classroom. I am very impressed with the quality and the excellent use of the skills for each book. I have appreciated the extra practice these give my students with the sound spelling we are working on. There are also activities at the end of each book and word lists to practice at the front of the book. I went ahead and purchased enough sets for my small group instruction. Thank you so much for an excellent product.

These decodables are just what my first graders need for practicing targeted skills and practicing their fluency. The illustrations are great and the stories capture my students' attention. Using these books with my students is helping to build their confidence as they work to master a sound. We also enjoy the literacy activities at the end of each book!

If you are questioning buying this series... DON'T! It is worth it and my students have shown so much growth that all the teachers on my team are looking into purchasing this. I have also recommended this to parents as a great resource for home/homework.
