CrankBrothers Power Pump Alloy Black is compact yet powerful. This pump utilizes dual-piston technology for maximum efficiency, while the air switch allows you to choose between large volume or high pressure pumping. The carry bracket mounts nearly anywhere, keeps out dirt and holds a glueless patch kit (not included). The twin head easily fits both Presta and Schrader valves, while a simple twist locks the pump onto valve. This alloy power pump is easy to read while pumping, due to the analog pressure gauge ensuring proper pressure for your road or mountain tire. Specs: Weight - 173 grams; Length - 9.3 inches; Material - 6061-T6 aluminum barrels; Pressure - 130 psi (9 bar); Mounting Bracket - included; Air Switch - high volume/high pressure.

Neat little package; not the best execution
I think it's a good little pump. The magnetic attachment is neat but more importantly it works well by not letting air escape. Everything stores nicely in to a little package and it even has room for extra gear like valve cores. Really nice design. However, this pump has a hard time connecting properly to the presta valves. It will not hold pressed in by pressure or the orings at all; while at the same time takes a good amount of force to get deep enough where the threading will bite and you can screw on to the valve. Just didn't feel as smooth as it could have been and puts thoughts in the back of your head like "is this too much strain on the valve?".The pressure this thing can achieve is not the best. Depending on what you ride and where you like your pressure set. This may or may not be an issue for you but higher pressures past 20psi it struggles. It becomes really hard to make pumps and this comes from someone who trains and works out daily for strength and core. I'll still keep it for a backup "just get me off the trail" type deal. But don't expect accurate or ideal higher pressures with this pump or the gauge. Speaking of which the gauge bounces around a lot and is difficult to just check pressure without letting 10psi of air out while doing so.

Better then I had hoped
Searching for a Hand pump for my MTB tires was rather difficult. There are many different designs and abilities out there.Just a few of the requirement I had were Durability, Minimalist design, Function, and Portability. The Crankbrothers Klic came well recommended, I was impressed by the design and ability to have a flexible hose so that I don't damage my valve cores. the fact that it is self-contained meant fewer things for me to carry! Although, I was surprised by the volume of air this little pump pushes out. With its built-in pressure gauge that is accurate and easy to read I was able to pump up my tires from about 20 PSI to 40 PSI in a matter of 15 or so strokes. By no means have I ever broke a sweat pumping up my tires. There is a strong magnet that holds the hose on while you pump, I was really skeptical but have yet to have it pull out while using it. Although it does get rather hot after use.I've provided a few photos of me using it on my 29" WTB tubeless rims.It is a great pump to carry every time I ride.Unfortunately, I'll need to warn you, your friends may decide you have the best bike pump so they will not carry theirs anymore... :(

Pump may be a misleading name
Everything stores nicely in one fairly lightweight cylinder. But, that's the only compliment.I found that when attaching to a tire currently at 85psi (700x25 presta), the magnetic hose just pops off due to the pressure. I have to hold it in place with one hand and pump with the other, which seems to defeat the entire purpose of the design. Even with this balancing act, 10 strokes of the pump seem to have no change on tire pressure; this is surprising for the high pressure version rated to 120psi. Even when I set my tires around 40psi, 15 pumps raises the tire by maybe 1-2psi. So, I'm assuming it would take well over 100 pumps to get a tire from 85psi up to 95psi, which would be further irritating due to holding a supposedly-strong magnetic hose in place. The CO2 attachment is fine and it stores nicely, but the entire point is to house multiple tools within one device. A CO2 inflator is a crude tool to get your tire to a starting pressure so as to allow more accurate touches with a physical pump. If you can't actually pump with the Klic pump, a $15 CO2 inflator has the exact same amount of utility and almost no weight.

Great for emergencies
I purchased the Klic HV with gauge as an emergency pump to carry with me when I ride my mountain bike, and I think it will serve that purpose admirably. The pump appears to be well made with nothing feeling cheap or flimsy. The handle rotates to the side and snaps into the open position, giving you a firm and comfortable platform to press your palm against during operation. Rotating the handle reveals the hose hidden in the stem which can be dislodged from its hiding spot by tapping the handle gently against your palm (not sure what you would do if it ever really got stuck in there; pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers?). The head twists open with a satisfying click to reveal the mounting hole, and the hose snaps firmly into place thanks to strong magnetic forces. With regards to the overall feel and construction, I have no complaints. As a test, I released all the air from my front tire and used the Klic to refill it. The hose easily screwed onto the Presta valve stem and formed a tight seal, and then I connected the pump itself and started pumping. I didn't count the strokes or time myself, but I think it's safe to say that it took me a few minutes to go from empty to 40 PSI as read on the handy built-in gauge, and the work was fairly easy up to that point with the pump operating smoothly and with minimal effort. After 40 PSI, it was noticeably harder to depress the handle, and I started to sweat a little and experienced some fatigue in my arms as I slowly crept up to 50 PSI. It was doable but not exactly easy. After 50 PSI, depressing the handle took considerably more effort, and while I probably could have gotten my tire all the way up to its maximum rated 60 PSI if I really worked at it, it wasn't worth the trouble to try because 50 PSI is a perfectly safe pressure for me to ride on, and you generally don't want to run your tires at maximum pressure anyway. The magnetic connection holding the hose in place is certainly up to the task and never disconnected until I wanted it to, and the pressure gauge -- conveniently visible on two sides of the hose -- seems reasonably accurate as long as you're not expecting precision. The Klic comes with a frame mount that rides side saddle to a water bottle cage, but I don't know why anybody would carry it that way, especially if you're going to do any kind of off-road riding since the pump will be coated with whatever muck you kick up from the trail, and I've read reports of the head getting stuck in the closed position from grit working its way into the mechanism. While the head can be removed and cleaned, this certainly isn't something you would want to fuss with when you're miles from home and just need to pump up your tire. Fortunately, the Klic is compact and can be easily stowed in a pouch where it will be protected from the elements, which is how I plan to carry it.The Klic is not something I would want to use on a regular basis to keep my tires inflated, but I will be thrilled to have it with me when I need it.UPDATE: Three days after writing this review, I had the opportunity to use the Klic on the road. I was out for a ride when my back tire suddenly went flat, and to my delight, the Klic performed flawlessly. It took more time to wrestle the tire off the rim and swap the tube than it did to inflate it! And it saved me a long walk back home.

Good pump, cleverly designed but the description isn't accurate
What's good:* Design is very clever: T-handle makes pumping much easier, hose safely housed inside the pump when not in use, magnetic clip disengages if you move the pump too much without the risk to damage the valve (like a MagSafe power plug on Apple laptops), rotating collar prevents dust and water from getting in.* For my 700x32 tyres running at 40-70 psi this pump is enough - while you start feeling resistance approaching the top of this range, it doesn't become ridiculous and the pump doesn't get unbearably hot. For higher pressures though I'd get a 'high pressure' version of it instead of this 'high volume' one.* The gauge is actually pretty accurate - or at least it matches the readings on the gauge of my old pump starting from 20psi and up.* Attaching the hose to the valve and removing it is very smooth and you lose next to no air in the process. No need to fiddle like with some other connectors. What could be better:* The edge of the bottom of the pump (the rotating collar end) could be duller - when pumping at higher pressure, becomes uncomfortable to hold the pump as it cuts into your hand.* On this version with a gauge the flexible part of the hose could be longer.* The pump itself is also longer than other in this price range.* When unfolded, the T-handle is not exactly at the right angle, it's a few degrees off (although still firm and stable).* The product description on Amazon is not accurate - this pump doesn't include the CO2 inflator (it's a different model). I don't need it and expected not to get it after reading the comments, but this needs to be corrected - hence only 4 stars.

Oh boy, does it rattle! This is NOT a good thing...
OK first off, the design is exceptional - if you yank on the pump too hard, the magnetically attached (hose to pump joint) disconnects and no air is lost from the tyre, and said hose is hidden away inside the pump for storage. It looks awesome. After that, things start to go sideways. The Bad -Performance-wise, the size of the pump chamber is tiny. If you need to pump up a 29er from flat to anything decent, you are going to be knackered halfway through, so even as an emergency pump, it is not really up to the job.The gauge is about as inaccurate as you can get, so save yourself a few quid and get the version without if you really want this fashion accessory. The Really Bad -The one I received rattles when riding; And I mean really *RATTLES!*Specifically, the tube and gauge mechanism that sits inside the pump plunger tube, rattled against the tube so much I found it to be incredibly distracting and annoying - even when riding my mtb along a smooth road. The pump I received was a customer return - pretty obviously so as the tywraps were missing and there were marks on the cardboard left by the cutters.I report this as it means I do not know if there is a piece of sponge or something missing that stops this rattling and that it was lost by the previous recipient of this pump. It may be that they broke it and I was just unfortunate to be the mug that was landed with it.Here's the thing, I just paid a small fortune for a brand new Whyte T-130 C-RS, and this pump made it sound like I was riding a POS postal bike from the 1950's! Remember those tiny metal front mudguard chrome bullet trims from the 1970's? That's the level of the sound. No matter the pump orientation, rattle rattle rattle.[I knew I should have videoed it before sending it back - no-one will believe it otherwise...]Conclusion -Nice pump, bad design implementation. Or, maybe I just got a dodgy return from some chancer? If the rattle is something that happens to everyone, then no way is it worth £44, maybe £20 if you don't mind fixing the fault..?I've never had a Crank Bros purchase be this rubbish before. I guess we all have a first time. :(

Great pump, fits inside a seat tube for the ultimate stash.
Awesome pump. Great quality and I have a couple of spare links and valves in the small storage compartment. I also fitted this to the inside of my seat tube (yes, inside) so it is invisible on the bike until needed, and takes up zero external room.

Excellent
Got this with the F15 multitool. Excellent design by crankbrothers once again. The magnetic hose, clever covers to protect the assembly, the bottle cage mount, the presta and schrader valve stem, all in a nice looking package! Would suggest going for the gauge version if you can afford it.

Couldn't ask for anything better
This pump is great. It fits nicely next to my water bottle cage with no clearance issues at all, I would definitely purchase this again or reccomend to friends. It screws on tight while you pump your tires then it all goes back together nicely with reassuring clicks so you know it is built well.
